Fortnite Hunting Rifle (Uncommon/Green)
The Uncommon/Green Fortnite Hunting Rifle will be regarded as the dumbest or most intimidating weapon to come across—all depending on who is holding it. It’s the champion of the amateur player who doesn’t know much about the game and therefore make the tragic mistake of using the green hunting rifle. Conversely, the scope-lacking weapon is absolutely frustrating to play against because it also happens to be a champion of talented trolls. I flip-flop on whether it’s worth it and my advice is this—use it if you’re feeling it. Sometimes it will help you devastate. Other times, it’ll be the cause of your death.
- Color: Green (Uncommon)
- Thrill factor: Even though it is a sniper, it cannot one-shot without perfect aim and a distressingly large portion of the time, it will let you down and not kill an enemy.
- Popularity: Though its blue version is respected, the green one is tossed time and time again.
- Odds of finding the weapon: As an uncommon, it will be easy to stumble across. That’s why it is often used as a first sniper, later abandoned when a better one is found.
- Interesting Note: This gun is not well-loved, but like I warned you, it can shred. I have some buddies that I play with that use only hunting rifles, and I wouldn’t want to come against them—even with a green one. They lack the scope and power of the Bolt Family, but regardless they make up for it by being able to quick-scope on headshots with remarkable skill.
The Uncommon/Green Fortnite Hunting Rifle isn’t something I would recommend to every player, but if you try it and it works for you, continue to use it! Don’t let the negative reputation deter you. I often don’t run an AR and instead use a Hunting Rifle and a Minigun as my own two weapons, and I generally do quite well with the unusual loadout. Its bad reputation can be a help, as some players will get cocky against someone using this weapon. It’s most recommended for people who are good at quick-scoping and retreating back into cover.
