The Secret to Finding Waterweed Filaments Easily in The Cycle: Frontier
Once you know what a Waterweed Filament looks like, the task of finding them becomes more manageable. You must look for the large pink flowers with bright blue dots littered on the petals. Plus, as you can probably guess from the name, you’ll most likely find this resource in bodies of water. However, they don’t necessarily just grow in the water; you can find them on land, too—as long as it’s near a swamp or a lake.
The Cycle: Frontier Waterweed Filament Locations
You can find Waterweed Filaments on two maps: Bright Sands and Crescent Falls. If you’re a new player, we recommend going to Bright Sands first, as it’s less dangerous there. The Waterweed Filaments in Bright Sands grow near the Waterfall Lab in the northeastern corner of the map. You can also find more in the southwestern corner, where you can see the Rock Pools and Swamp.

Yes, it’s possible to farm Waterweed Filaments in The Cycle: Frontier, and it’s a relatively straightforward process. All you have to do is go to one of the mentioned locations and start picking. If you go to hotspots that aren’t that far from each other, you can obtain many of them. Best of all, since there’s a loot respawn mechanic in the game, all the resources and materials you gather will respawn in just a few minutes. You’ll know it’s a Waterweed Filament if you see a small red floral plant with five separate leaves (with a teal-spotted pattern) and a cluster of strands protruding from the central node.
However, since Waterweed Filaments tend to spawn on open water, it’s best to move slowly but surely as there could be other players nearby. Moving through the water and making sloshing noises will make some noise, attracting attention.
