Warframe is a free-to-play third-person Action MMO developed by Digital Extremes for the PC and PS4.

The game puts you in control of the Tenno. It’s a race of ancient ninja-like warriors that have been recently reawakened by threats to the Solar System. Complete various co-operative missions with fellow warriors against the militaristic clone empire of the Grineer: a mechanized Corpus mega-corporation or the victims of the Technocyte virus, the Infested. Fight through the challenges with your Warframe account and save the system from destruction.

So you made a Warframe account, what now?

Players on a Warframe account have access to a campaign that unfolds through missions as they travel through the solar system. Right now, there are 12 different mission types, with more being added with each patch. Depending on the mission, players may have to take out enemy bosses, defend key structures, and even rescue hostages. Brave players can also take on side-missions that take place in “The Orokin Void” or “The Orokin Derelict” provided they have the keys to access them.

One of the instantly noticeable strengths of Warframe is just how polished it is for a free-to-play game.

Aside from the missions, the core of the game revolves around collecting the titular Warframes and their weaponry on a Warframe account. This can be done by obtaining blueprints, parts and materials from the various missions before finally crafting the item. To power a player’s arsenal, Mods can be added. These can be gained and upgraded by running missions for loot.

Best reasons to make a Warframe account

One of the instantly noticeable strengths of Warframe is just how polished it is for a free-to-play game. However, what is even more amazing is how the game remains balanced despite the existence of a cash shop. A good deal of the items in the game can be bought with Platinum, the game’s cash shop currency; ALL items can be obtained on a Warframe account with patience and hard-work. In fact some of the most powerful gear must be earned.

For more enterprising players however, there’s money to be made with Mods. The player market is always busy with players looking for, or selling these upgrades on their Warframe account. While Platinum is often the mode of payment, it is not uncommon to see players exchange these digital assets for cash.

If you’re looking for a high-quality cooperative Action MMO that hasn’t been corrupted by the usual F2P woes, then give Warframe a spin.

Really awesome game. Me and my clan are waiting for update 13. PA should add a mods section because those things sell really quickly.
