How PlayerAuctions Protects You from Scams
PlayerAuctions’ marketplace is governed by the PlayerGuardian — a trading protection system that has seen unparalleled success in more than 30 million transactions. By having payments safely secured, buyers have the freedom to inspect and secure in-game assets fully. At the same time, sellers are guaranteed to receive their payment upon successful delivery of their goods following our tried-and-tested protocols that aim to provide traders a safe environment for trading their in-game assets.
How does it work?
- Buyer browses from a wide array of games at PlayerAuctions and places an order.
- The PlayerGuardian System fully secures the buyer’s payment and holds on to it.
- The seller delivers the item/currency/account as per the *Delivery Guarantee Period.
- The buyer gets time to inspect the item/currency/account fully and confirms the delivery.
- The PlayerGuardian System disburses the seller’s payment upon receiving the buyer’s confirmation
*The Delivery Guarantee Period is the seller’s commitment to delivering within an agreed period, which gets displayed on their offer page. Due to the ever-changing nature of the gaming world where policies and rules have to change constantly, complications due to fraud and scam attempts by a few users are increasing by the day. This is where the full power of the PlayerGuardian system plays an irreplaceable role in mitigating 99% of the risks in a player-to-player (P2P) transaction.
Disputes and Mediation
If a dispute arises, the first user to raise a complaint will be the one required to provide screenshot evidence to support his or her claim, and it’s usually the buyer. The seller will be required to provide counter-evidence to support his or her claim; if the seller doesn’t have one and agrees to the dispute, he or she can accept the dispute, and the buyer will get a refund. If the dispute cannot get settled, then it will escalate to our Mediation Team who will ultimately decide the winner of the case based on evidence submitted and factual considerations based on our system logs. As a seller, one of the primary things to consider is that payments will only be released after the buyer has fully confirmed from their end. If there are disputes during the transition, all of your disbursements will get paused, and you will be required to address the issue to ensure the buyer gets a working game account, or an amenable in-game item or currency amount. Once this finishes, your disbursements will be back on track. As a buyer, upon receiving your order, you are given a maximum of 72 hours to either Accept the order or Dispute it. Accepting closes the order and allows the seller to get his payment while Disputing it lets Team PlayerAuctions know that there is an issue so that the seller can sort it out for you. For game accounts, you also have the option to purchase an after-sale protection package, provided that you can prove that the seller reclaimed the account, buyers are guaranteed a refund.
