Vyse’s Abilities
Arc Rose (E)
Arc Rose is Vyse’s Signature ability. This ability allows you to place a hidden metal rose on any surface. To place them, target a surface with the FIRE button or the ALT FIRE button to place the Arc Rose through it. You can activate the ability by pressing your E key, which will blind any enemies with a flash in the area.
How to Use in Attacker’s Side
For Attacker’s Side, Arc Rose could be a deadly combo when paired with your team’s duelist. Since the ability can be placed on the other side of a wall, you can activate it with ALT FIRE and blind the enemies defending the site. Then, your duelist can enter while the enemy is blinded and get a couple of frags while clearing the site. Since the ability provides you with two uses, you can use Arc Rose post-plant and try to blind the enemies trying to defuse it to get a kill in.
How to Use in Defender’s Side
For Defender’s Side, you can use Arc Rose as a one-way blind. Place Arc Rose in an area with the line-of-sight on the site’s entry point. Once you hear the enemies entering the site, you can activate Arc Rose, blind the enemy, and take the opportunity to get a frag or give your teammates the honor. Since the ability has a sound queue, you’ll know if you’ve blinded any opponents.
Shear (Q)
Shear is one of Vyse’s Basic abilities. Shear gives Vyse a way to isolate enemies using a metal wall. You can place Shear anywhere you want by pressing your FIRE button. When an enemy player triggers the Shear’s tripwire, a metal wall will burst from the ground and separate them from their team. The wall will last for a brief time before disappearing.
How to Use in Attacker’s Side
For Attacker’s Side, Shear can be used to hold off any enemies that are trying to flank. Since Shear will notify you if someone has tripped the line, you’ll be able to know if someone is flanking from the Attacker’s Side of the map. You can also use it after planting the Spike, placing Shear in an area that the enemy will enter from to try to defuse. This method will give you information on where to expect the enemy while protecting the Spike.
How to Use in Defender’s Side
For Defender’s Side, Shear can isolate opponents when they’re entering the site. Place Shear on the main entry point of the site so that, if an enemy triggers it, the wall will activate, separating them from their teammates and quickly securing a frag. Similar to the Attacker’s Side, you can use Shear to notify you of enemies flanking from the Defender’s side. If you’re the only Sentinel on the team, you can place Shear on the other side, allowing you to see if the enemy has rotated.
Razorvine (C)
Razorvine is Vyse’s basic ability that causes a large nest of thorns to sprout from an area. This ability will slow down and damage enemies when they go through the affected area. Razorvine can be placed anywhere on the ground. Equip Razorvine and press your FIRE button to place this trap.
How to Use in Attacker’s Side
Razorvine in Attacker’s Side can be used to remove anyone defending a site or holding a kill position targeting the entrance of a site . If you’re familiar with where the enemy is positioned, you can throw Razorvine to throw them off their position, allowing you to enter and secure the site. Razorvine can also be used during post plants. If the Defenders are trying to enter the site, you can use Razorvine to slow them down and induce damage so that they’ll be low on health. If you know of any post-plant lineups with Brimstone and Viper, you can also use them for Vyse.
How to Use in Defender’s Side
On Defender’s Side, Razorvine can be used when enemies try to enter a site. Since you have two uses of Razorvine, you can easily trap them as they enter. Place one on the main entry point and one near where they can plant, dealing them damage as they enter and allowing you and your teammates to easily pick them off. If you have Iso on your team, he can hit enemies with his Undercut ability, making them take even more damage when Razorvine is activated.
Steel Garden (X)
Steel Garden is Vyse’s Ultimate Ability, allowing her to jam any primary guns caught in the radius for a brief period of time. The ability will not jam secondary and Melee weapons.
You’ll need 8 Ultimate Points to use the ability. Press the FIRE button to activate it. How to Use in Attacker’s Side
Since Steel Garden will be active for a brief period, you must make the most out of it. On the Attacker’s Side, you can use the Ultimate when entering, rendering the enemy’s primary useless. It’ll give your team the advantage as you can quickly enter an area and take out all opponents. Another way to use Steel Garden on the Attacker’s Side is during post-plant. While the enemy team is trying to defuse, you can use the Ultimate ability to slow them down and make them easier to kill.
How to Use in Defender’s Side
For Defender’s Side, you can use Steel Garden to prevent the enemy team from entering a site. An enemy will only enter a site if they have strong guns to deal with encounters, and with Steel Garden, you can render those weapons useless. Another way to use this ability is to jam enemy guns while they’re trying to plant in a site. While planting, enemy players will try to secure spots where they can be trained on entry points. Having Steel Garden render their weapons useless takes away all their defending power, giving you and your team the upper hand. Agents such as Neon, Jett, and Chamber, who still have their Ultimates active during the round will not be affected by Steel Garden.
With Vyse’s unique abilities, she’ll be an agent many players will use. From Arc Rose to Steel Garden, Vyse will be a great agent for your team comps, whether in casual games or ranked. Her abilities can be used in support of other agents, creating an excellent dynamic for people in duos or trios. You can unlock Vyse by grinding and earning 8,000 Kingdom Points or by buying her for 1,000 Valorant Points.
