Valorant: Updated Rank Distribution for Episode 9 Act 2

By | October 15th, 2024 | Categories: Valorant

Ever wondered about Valorant’s ranking system and how it all works? Well, lucky for you, this guide will provide you with a breakdown of the Act rank and rank distribution. Let’s dive right in.

Joining Ranked Matches

To participate in ranked matches, players must be at least level 20. Once they’ve qualified, they’ll need to play 5 placement matches. This will help determine their starting rank. Once that’s done and out of the way, players can begin to progress their Act Rank.

Valorant Act Rank

Like your typical FPS game, Valorant allows players to see how well they’re doing in the game. This is done through the ranking system. To determine how well a player is doing in the current Act, Valorant uses what it calls an Act Rank. As the name implies, the Act Rank allows players to gauge their rank for the current act.

Each time a new Act starts, your Act Rank will refresh. When this happens, the game will have you play a few placement games to determine your overall rank. After that, you can start filling up your Act Rank. As you continue to play ranked games, your triangle badge will be filled with each of your wins.

The Act Rank also determines what rewards you’ll receive at the end of the Act. If you were originally a Silver-ranked player and reached Gold, and stayed in that rank for a majority of the Act, you’ll receive Gold-tier rewards. As mentioned, your Act Rank will reset, so you’ll have the chance at better rewards each Act.
