When will Early Access start?
Path of Exile 2 Early Access will launch at 11 AM Pacific Standard Time on December 6th for all supported platforms, such as Windows — which will get a standalone game client — Steam, Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series. At the time of Early Access release, MacOS will not be supported but will come at a later date.
How do I join Early Access?
Purchasing any of the new Early Access Supporter Packs will grant you access. If you’ve previously spent $480 or bought a top-tier supporter pack in PoE 1, you’ll be given an invite code in the email you used for the first game.
How will I know if my lifetime purchases meet the threshold?
Head to the Path of Exile website, click on your account name and select “View transactions” to see if your purchases have met the $480 threshold. Only purchases made with dollars will be considered valid for gaining Early Access.
If I merge my sub-accounts, will my lifetime purchases from different platforms be counted towards the threshold?
No, the threshold is based on purchases made on one platform.
Can I purchase new Supporter Packs on Consoles?
You can buy Early Access Supporter Packs on Xbox now. You can claim all microtransactions in Path of Exile 1 and get access to downloading Path of Exile 2.
Supporter Packs for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 will be available on December 6th, 11 am PST when Path of Exile 2 Early Access launches. However, for PlayStation players who bought the Founder’s Pack, they’ll be able to pre-load the game 24 hours before launch.
How do you redeem a key?
Upon purchasing your first supporter pack that includes an Early Access key, the key will be automatically redeemed on the account the purchase was made. All you need to do now is wait for the launch time to download the game client.
You can check your Early Access status on my-account/early-access on the Path of Exile website. If you wish to play on another PC client, you can claim another key on your account page to unlock it, though this will not get you early access to your account.
When will I be able to download the client?
On December 5th, 5 pm Pacific Standard Time. The game can be pre-loaded in order to play on the launch date.
What content is included?
Path of Exile 2 Early Access will feature 3 Acts, the Atlas endgame, 50 bosses, and 400 monster types.
How long will Early Access run for?
Though there is no definite time period for Early Access, the likeliest minimum length is 6 months.
Is couch co-op available in Early Access?
Couch co-op is available on a single account at launch. The second player can create a character on that account.
Will there be wipes during Early Access?
No. Characters created during this period will be placed in the “Early Access” League but will remain separate from the Standard League.
Do I need to create a new account to play Path of Exile 2 in Early Access?
If you have a Path of Exile 1 account, you can use that for Path of Exile 2. If you’re a new player, you’ll need to create a new account.
Will my Path of Exile 1 microtransactions work in Early Access?
Path of Exile 1 transactions will be ported over to Path of Exile 2, but some may not appear during Early Access yet. Expect the older microtransactions to arrive at a later date.
How will my stash tabs from Path of Exile 1 work in Path of Exile 2?
Stash tab purchases made in Path of Exile 1 will be transferred to Path of Exile 2, where relevant. For example, a special league-related stash tab will not be available since the League is absent in Path of Exile 2.
Currently, applicable stash tabs will be updated for Path of Exile 2, and specific tabs like the currency tab will contain different items from their Path of Exile 1 variant.
Note that the stash tabs become remove-only when logged into a different platform where you don’t own them.
Will I be able to buy new microtransactions?
Yes, the cosmetics shop will be available in Early Access with the Path of Exile 1 option. On release, there may not be any new microtransactions, but more will be added as time goes on.
Is Path of Exile 2 in Early Access under NDA?
There is no embargo or NDA for Early Access, so feel free to discuss the game once it’s released.
Can I purchase a Unique Item or Divination Card design for Path of Exile 2?
Yes, both Path of Exile 2 Unique Item Design and Divination Card Design will be available for purchase. However, this will be in limited quantities at a later date.
