Hello Kitty Island Adventure: How to Unlock the Pickaxe
The Pickaxe is one of the more essential tools for completing quests in the game, as this can break down boulders that lead to new parts of the island. To unlock this, you’ll need to complete Chococat’s quest to get the recipe and craft it. Here’s how you can easily get the Pickaxe so you can continue exploring.

Unlocking The Quest “Revive The Oasis”
Since this quest won’t be available from the start, you’ll first need to progress through “The Island Mystery” questline and “The Right Tools” questline. This means reaching certain levels of Friendship with Keroppi, Kuromi, My Melody, Tuxedo Sam, Badtz-maru, Pochacco, and Pompompurin.
Specifically, you’ll need to complete the quests “Dessert-ed Boat” and “Parched,” and reach Friendship Level 11 with My Melody to get started.
Crafting Requirements for Pickaxe
To craft the pickaxe, you’ll need the following:
- 10 Woodblock
- Requires 70 Coconuts or 50 Sticks
- Sticks can be found on Seaside Resort and Deadwood Forest. Coconuts are found everywhere in Seaside Resort, Spooky Swamp, and Gemstone Mountain
- 3 Ingots
- Requires 9 Iron.
- Iron is a potential reward for the “Gem Match” and “Crane Craze” minigames. 5 Iron can be earned by completing the Zealous Zap-Up puzzle. This can also be found in some Treasure Chests.
