All Dynasty Warriors: Origins True Ending Guide (All Factions)

By | February 6th, 2025 | Categories: Others

Dynasty Warriors: Origins have default endings that you’ll get simply by playing and finishing the stories of each faction. However, you can unlock secret or true endings for these groups if you accomplish certain missions in a specific manner. These conditions will have long-lasting implications, so if you want to discover all the hidden outcomes, this guide will show you all the Dynasty Warriors: Origins True Endings.

How Many True Endings Are There

There are four hidden endings in Dynasty Warriors: Origins, and you’ll have to progress them individually. Three of them are tied directly to specific factions, while the last one can be obtained with either of the three. However, some of these true endings are harder to achieve than others.

How to Unlock All True Endings

Only several conditions determine each faction’s true ending, so you might miss out on the opportunities to unlock them if you aren’t aware of these special requirements. Fortunately, there aren’t many missions to get the hidden outcomes, but their difficulty depends on what faction you’re playing. Here’s how to unlock all Dynasty Warriors: Origins True Endings:

Shu

  • In Chapter 5, defeat the battalion during the Battle of Changban and defeat Cao Cao instead of escaping with Liu Bei. You can do this but must head north after defending the bridge. The Wei Leader usually appears after Bailuan joins the fight. Defeating Cao Cao will prompt the “Fate Altered” message. We advise gamers to do this in Historian mode because Liu Bei tends to survive longer during the bridge defense in this difficulty.

Wu

  • During Chapter 3, Battle of Xiangyang, don’t leave Sun Jian and ignore the initial mission objectives. You’ll have to defeat several powerful opponents to reach the Wu Leader in time, which includes Pang Ji, Wang Can, and the Mighty General after Zhang Yun. Zhang Jiao is a must-beat boss because he blocks the path toward Sun Jian, and this battle might consume too much time. Make sure to pour everything you have into this fight to avoid failing to save the Wu patriarch and get to him immediately.
  • In Chapter 4, Suppression of Wu, you must defend Sun Ce and Sun Quan. Ideally, you want to protect the latter until the former can conquer the western part of the map. You want to destroy all bases ahead of Sun Quan’s path and march him north so you can unite him with the other allied troops. You need to do this before Sun Ce gets lost in the fog. Once Sun Ce gets lost, look for Zhang Jiao and his phantom soldiers in a hidden cave up north. The cave is covered with moss on the minimap’s top left side of the ringed paths. You must defeat Bailuan inside the cave to get the “Fate Altered” prompt.

Wei

  • During Chapter 4, Escape from Wei Castle, you want to ensure Dian Wei’s survival instead of letting him sacrifice himself. The key here is to take over the bases northwest and northeast bases. Afterward, you must defeat Zhang Xiu, Jia Xu, Zhang Quan, and Huche’er. You need to do all of these under 10 minutes. You’ll know that you succeeded in this condition if Huche’er mentions that you saved Cao Cao’s bodyguard and Dian Wei states that the enemy hoard is thinning. Both of these statements need to appear. Otherwise, you’ll have to redo the whole thing. You need to remember that this part is all about time.
  • At the Battle of M. Bailang, you need to save Guo Jia. Like the previous one, you need to be quick with this part. You want to ensure that Guo Jia survives throughout while securing key objectives. Claim the bases at the northwest and the west. Afterward, they defeated Yuan Mei, Nanlou, and Bailuan. If Guo Jia asks if you wish to pursue this bloodstained path and says you bought enough time, then you’re successful. However, if he says it took longer than expected, you must redo the mission. You’ll get the “Fate Altered” prompt after allied forces launch an ambush at the area where you fought Bailuan.
  • In the Battle of Chibi, the key is defeating Zhuge Liang and Huang Gai. Focus on reaching Zhuge Liang’s altar first and defeating as many enemies as possible. However, you need to be quick about this because you need to beat the Shu strategist before Huang Gai appears. Afterward, wait with Cao Cao’s fleet and wait for the Wu general to appear. He will reveal that he’s a traitor and will attempt to burn your ships. If you defeat him fast enough, you’ll get the “Fate Altered” prompt, which means you’ll get the true ending after defeating Liu Bei and Sun Quan.

Guardians of Peace

  • To get this, you must finish any True Endings from any faction while achieving complete peace with every province on the map.

The Wei ending is the hardest, while the Shu one is the easiest. The Guardians of Peace outcome can be obtained in any other path. Make sure to consult this guide before you attempt any runs to complete a True Ending.
