All Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Attributes

While going through the attributes in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, you might wonder how each ties to the weapon system in the game and which ones are the best to level. In this guide, we’ll talk about the 5 attributes in the game, which you should prioritize, and how to respec them.
All 5 Attributes Explained
Whenever you level up, you can level any of these attributes: Vitality, Might, Agility, Defense, and Luck. Vitality governs your character’s health pool, Might increases your damage, Agility increases the number of actions you make per turn, Defense reduces the damage you take, and Luck dictates your critical hit rate.
While these stats alone make your party members stronger, every weapon in the game can scale their damage based on your stats. Even defensive ones like Vitality and Defense are possible scaling stats for certain weapons. Weapons have scaling ranks from D to A, with D having the least scaling and A having the most.
You can also get bonus health, defense, and crit rate through Pictos, skills you can equip on each character.
Best Attributes To Level
Most stats in the game have synergies with every member in your party, but it varies for each character. Here are their best attributes to make them more powerful:
- Lune: Vitality and Might
- Gustav: Agility and Vitality
- Sciel: Might and Agility
- Maelle: Luck and Might
- Monoco: Any
- Verso: Might and Luck
Defense is less useful as a stat, especially if you can time your dodges or parries. With a perfect dodge, you can negate most attacks, and parries will even let you sneak in damage on an enemy’s turn if you do it right.
Vitality is quite important for avoiding getting one-shot by most enemies, so try to at least allocate a few points into that after increasing your offensive stats.
How To Respec Attributes
As you go through the game, you may come across Recoats. If your build is too weak, these items are your only way to respec attribute points. You can find these within the environments, as drops for beating a Petank or sold by merchants.
