Complete Elden Ring Nightreign Character Remembrance Quest Guide

After completing a few runs in Elden Ring Nightreign, your character’s journal entry will progress and occasionally unlock a Remembrance. Completing these Remembrances will grant your character new Relics that grant character-specific bonuses, as well as Vessels to hold different Relics with. However, some Remembrances are too vague. This guide will show you how to complete every Nightfarer’s Remembrance.

Remembrance Tips

Quest steps that require you to complete an objective during an expedition can be done solo.
Once you complete an objective, you don’t need to beat the Nightlord to finish a Remembrance. You can end the run early by dying to the Day 1 boss to receive your Remembrance reward.

Wylder

Slate Whetstone

His first Remembrance will be unlocked upon reaching Chapter 3. Once you’re inside, speak to the Iron Menial. He’ll ask you to retrieve a whetstone. The item is located in the mine north of the lake. Go into the mine and find the Tunnel Crystalian boss. Kill it, then retrieve the whetstone nearby.

Return to the Remembrance and hand it over to the Iron Menial to receive two random Relics. Take the earring and go to the room on your life. Interact with the ground to hold up the earrings, then give the earrings to the Priestess. End the Remembrance through the journal to receive the Slate Whetstone.

Chalice

Upon reaching Chapter 5, you can start this Remembrance. From there, interact with all the notes in the Visual Codex room. This will open a door in the basement. Go downstairs, then turn left to enter a crypt with the Iron Menial. Exhaust all his dialogue, then inspect all the tombs inside. Once you’re done, head to the beach area and speak to Duchess there. After speaking to her, end the Remembrance to obtain Wylder’s Chalice.

Silver Tear

This will be unlocked at Chapter 7. In the Remembrance, retrieve a key from the Iron Menial’s table, then open a chest downstairs to receive a note. Go to the Recluse and speak to her about the Nightlord. You will be tasked with retrieving a Silver Tear from the Noklateo Shifting Earth. Go into the city and locate the item that a Mimic Troll guards. Once you’re done, return to the Iron Menial and give him the Silve Tear to obtain it as a Relic.

Ironeye

Cracked Sealing Wax and Chalice

Starting from Chapter 4, go to the basement area and speak to the Priestess about the traitor. They can be found in Limveld, with their location marked on the map. Defeat the Night Huntsman there, then return to the Priestess with the letter you picked up. End the Remembrance to receive the Cracked Sealing Wax and a Chalice.

Edge of Order

In Chapter 5, head to the crypt to find the Priestess and the traitor. Speak to the traitor and he will ask you to retrieve the Edge of Order. For this item, you must beat the Darkdrift Knight boss on Day 3 to obtain it. Once you’re done, hand it over to the traitor, then speak to the Priestess to end the quest.

Guardian

Stone Stake

In Chapter 4, speak to the Iron Menial in the Remembrance. He will ask you to locate the Cracked Golem, which is found in a random location on Limveld. Defeat the Cracked Golem and give the item to the Iron Menial for the Stone Stake

Chalice

In Chapter 6, look for a spirit merchant standing in the corner of the Garb room. Talk to him to receive a charm that will knock you out. Once you wake up, speak to the Iron Menial about what happened, then return to the ghost merchant to kill him. Exit the Remembrance to get Guardian’s Chalice.

Third Volume

In Chapter 7, speak to the Iron Menial about the origin of the Merchant’s Ledger. He will point you towards the Demon Merchant, who can be found during an expedition. The Demon Merchant is found in a random location on the map, and you must obtain the ledger from him. You must pay 10000 runes for the ledger. After that, return to the Menial once more and obtain the Third Volume as a relic.

Witch’s Brooch / Cracked Witch’s Brooch

In Chapter 9, inspect one of the bookcases in the Visual Codex room to learn about the Recluse. Speak to her outside, where she is standing on a cliff west of the Roundtable Hold. She will give you a choice to either kill her or spare her. Sparing her will give you the Witch’s Brooch, while killing her gets you the Cracked Witch’s Brooch, though they both share the same passives.

Raider

Torn Braided Cord

In Chapter 2, head outside to the Garden area and speak to the Iron Menial. After some dialogue, touch the large monolith. Speak to him again, and he will tell you to fight a boss inside the monolith. Touch it again and you will find the One Strike Gladiator, which you must defeat in a duel. After defeating him, speak to the Menial once more to end the Remembrance and obtain the Torn Braided Cord for your reward.

Chalice

Much like the Remembrance in Chapter 2, speak to the Menial to learn more about Raider’s story. Then, enter the monolith to fight an Elder Lion boss within. Beat the boss, then return to the Menial to report your victory. Exit the Remembrance and you’ll get Raider’s Chalice.

Black Claw Necklace

You will spawn in front of the monolith again, but interacting with it gets no response. Exhaust the Iron Menial’s dialogue, then head to the beach south of the Roundtable Hold. Stand on the shore and you will be teleported to a boss fight with the White Horn. Be careful, as he can transform into an Ulcerated Tree Spirit mid-fight. Defeat him, then talk to the Menial. Afterwards, pay your respects to the gravestone to receive the Black Claw Necklace.

Executor

Blessed Flowers

In Chapter 2, talk to the Priestess near the table, where she will ask you to retrieve flowers from Limveld. The flowers will be marked on the map somewhere northeast of the region. The item is guarded by a Bloodhound Knight, which you must defeat. Once you’re done, get the flowers, then give the flowers to the Iron Menial. Then, interact with the painting set outside to complete the Remembrance and get the Blessed Flowers.

Golden Sprout

For Chapter 5, speak to the Priestess about finding a Golden Seed. This item is located in the Mountaintops region during the Shifting Earth event. This time, it is guarded by an Erdtree Avatar. Defeat the boss, then give the seed to the Priestess. There will be a cutscene that plays afterwards. This will lead you to a boss fight with Executor’s Cry. Defeat the boss, then go towards the shack behind you. After you wake up from the memory, you will receive the Golden Sprout relic.

Duchess

Golden Dew

In Chapter 2, speak to all the Nightfarers in the Roundtable Hold, and you’ll be assigned to find Golden Dew in Limveld. This item is guarded by the Guardians of the Dew boss fight. Defeat the boss, retrieve the Dew, then give the item to Wylder. Afterwards, talk to Raider, then Revenant outside. Lastly, talk to the Iron Menial to end the Remembrance and receive the Golden Dew relic.

Chalice

In Chapter 5, go to Wylder outside and eat the bread. Exhaust his dialogue, then speak to the Iron Menial to learn the next step of the Duchess’ story. Afterwards, you can leave the Remembrance for the Chalice reward.

Crown Medal

In Chapter 6, speak to the Raider about Weathervane and exhaust all his dialogue. Then, you can retrieve Weathervane’s Words in Limvled, which is overlooking a cliff and is guarded by Fallen Mercenaries. Beat them, retrieve the item, then go back to the Remembrance. Head to the southern beach in the Hold and beat Revenant in a duel. Defeat her, then exit the Remembrance to obtain the Crown Medal.

Blessed Iron Coin

For Chapter 8, simply walk up to the Roundtable Grace and interact with it to bless the coin from the last Remembrance. Then, talk to Iron Menial in the crypt and exhaust all his dialogue. Afterwards, go to Wylder and speak to him. Then, go back to the Menial, and this will end the Remembrance. You will receive the Blessed Iron Coin as a reward.

Recluse

Chalice

For Chapter 2, speak to the Menial and he will task you to slay a creature of the Night. This means you must find the Night-Swallowed Golden Hippopotamus in Limveld. It will be marked on your map during an expedition. Slay the Golden Hippo, then return to the Menial to receive Recluse’s Chalice.

Vestige of Night

For Chapter 4, read the Menial’s note on the Roundtable. Make your way to the beds past the Iron Menial’s table. There is a bed with a dark, glowing aura. Interact with it to receive the Vestige of Night key. Show the item to the Iron Menial to end the Remembrance and receive the Vestige as a relic.

Bone-Like Stone

For Chapter 6, head to the Sparring Grounds and attack the Iron Menial there, as he is an impostor. Speak to the impostor and exhaust all her dialogue, where she will direct you to the crypt. Head there, then talk to the real Iron Menial. He will give you the Bone-Like Stone at the end of the Remembrance.

Revenant

Small Makeup Brush

In Chapter 2, speak to Duchess first, then talk to Guardian. He will task you to defeat either Tricephalos or the Darkdrift Knight again. You will need to defeat them again as Revenant to receive the Blade of Night Fragment. Afterwards, return to the Guardian and leave the Remembrance to receive the Small Makeup Brush relic.

Chalice

For Chapter 5, talk to Duchess and ask her about the Corrosion. Then, go to the Garden pathway and speak to the Recluse standing by a bench. Sit on the bench and you’ll be teleported to a boss room. Defeat the Corrosion boss and interact with the Revenant doll. Afterwards, talk to Recluse again and leave the Remembrance for Revenant’s Chalice.

Old Portrait

Lastly, for Chapter 7, go back to the bench where the Recluse is and speak to her. Exhaust all her dialogue, then sit on the bench again to challenge another boss. This time, you will face the Contaminant, which is a Royal Revenant enemy in Elden Ring. Defeat it, watch the cutscene, then speak to the Recluse one last time to end the Remembrance and receive the Old Portrait relic.
