Can You Change Classes in Crystal of Atlan

You can choose between eight different classes in Crystal of Atlan, and the MMO lets you explore more via subclasses. Once you’ve locked in on your chosen job, you can start exploring and progressing your character until you’ve reached the point where you can specialize in it. However, if you’re interested in trying out other base classes, then you might have to use another slot.
Table of Contents
All Crystal of Atlan Class and Subclasses
There are sixteen classes in total, and 11 of them are subclasses of other jobs. More will be added in the future, but for now, these are the ones that players can choose during character creation:
- Swordsman: Magiblade and Berserker
- Fighter: Cloudstrider and Starbreaker
- Magister: Elementalist, Warlock, and Magician
- Puppeteer: Syctheguard and Blademaiden
- Musketeer: Gunner and Bounty Hunter
You can diverge into the subclasses from the primary classes, which you can do by progressing your character.
Can You Change Characters in Crystal of Atlan
Unfortunately, you cannot. Once you’ve chosen a main class after character creation, you’ll be stuck with that field. However, you can swap between subclasses, which you can freely do until level 45. However, you’ll have to buy 1000 Soul Gems to shift subclasses after you bypass the threshold.
How to Play Other Classes
If you want to play other classes, then you’ll have to create a new character using the available slots you have. You’ll get one for free, but you’ll have to buy extra spaces to create more characters. Fortunately, we’ll get free extra slots every time a new class is released. If you’re worried about how grindy it will be to play more than one character, Crystal of Atlan is very alt-friendly, so you’ll have an easier time progressing your other units after your main.
