Massive Diablo 4 Season 8 Reliquary Bug (DON’T BUY ANYTHING)
Diablo 4 Season 8 replaces the traditional battle pass with an all-new Reliquary. This system allows gamers to choose their objectives and decide what they’re working on to redeem. Unfortunately, the newly implemented Reliquary system has a massive bug that hasn’t been resolved.

The new Reliquary system promised a new highlighted reward progress that gives players free rein on what type of loot they can redeem. However, keeping in with the theme of this season of the return of the Lord of Lies, the new system’s promise of a more streamlined, reworked BP did not live up to its promise due to a massive bug. Many players have lost all their platinum while redeeming a reward from the Reliquary without getting any.
A thread on the official Diablo 4 Reddit page has gained traction over the days as multiple players have reported having similar experiences with the game’s Reliquary. Many have reported losing all their platinum after redeeming a package, yet they didn’t receive any rewards or progression. However, the free Battle Pass Reliquary track is unaffected.
The Reliquary features three redeemable premium tracks: Weapons, Beasts, and Armor. While each has increasing platinum costs, all three seem affected by the bug. Unfortunately, it’s still unclear what is triggering this issue. Devs have responded to the thread and confirmed they’re working on fixing the issue.
Unfortunately, there haven’t been any updates since then, so we don’t know when the bug will be resolved. Recent hotfixes only address specific QoL issues and boss power updates. Until then, we advise players to hold off on spending their platinum on the Reliquaries to avoid inconvenience.
