Elden Ring Nightreign has several hidden mechanics that players might not be aware of, so it’s hard to take full advantage of several tips and tricks. Some of them provide helpful and valuable rewards, so learning about the game’s hidden aspects can help players progress in their game. Here are seven missable secrets in Nightreign that you should look into.
Table of Contents
#1 Top Towers of Forts
Climbing the topmost towers of any fort will lead you to several interesting things. The most valuable ones are maps showing the locations of three nearby scarabs. Scarabs drop talismans, which you can use to enhance your character further.
#2 Consume Glowing Items in the Wild
You won’t have to use your consumables or flasks if you can refill your stats and HP by consuming things you find in your travels. Berries, Butterflies, and other glowing consumables can be taken to replenish some of your diminished resources. This ensures you’ll have a filled flask in your next boss fight.
#3 Stonesword Keys Open Evergaols
You might come across Evergaol symbols and realize you can’t interact with or open them. That’s because you need to have a Stonesword key in your inventory to open one. Collect any you find during explorations so you can use them in the next Evergaols you encounter. This will spawn a mini-boss that will drop ruins for you.
#4 Look for Crests to Open Sorcerer’s Rises
Rises are sealed mausoleums that contain various rewards. You can use the crests to open them in nearby areas, but they might be concealed. Try destroying any destructible objects if a crest is not visible, because some of them can be hidden inside tree stumps.
#5 Reach the Second Floor of Sorcerer’s Rise
Once inside the Sorcerer’s Rise, always climb and reach the second level of the structure to get more rewards. If there are no stairs, you can use some of the scalable walls or platforms to reach the higher areas.
#6 Smithing Stones from Merchants
Smithing Stones are rare, and you’ll need many of them to upgrade equipment fully. However, every merchant in the game will see you at least once. Ensure that their stocks are emptied to facilitate a smoother progression.
#7 Day 2 Castle Lower Level
You should visit the lower levels of the castle on Day 2. On the lowest level, you can fight a boss, which will open up an adjacent treasure room. You can get a talisman from one of the chests here.
