Doom: The Dark Ages How to Skip Opening Scenes

Doom: The Dark Ages has many animations and cutscenes that hype up players through fantastic scenes and movements. However, some of them take too long, and there aren’t any clear ways to skip them, especially during the opening splash screens. The intro videos might take too long for anyone who wants to play the game immediately. This guide will show you how to skip the first scenes after launching the game.

How to Skip Opening Scenes
If you don’t want to spend a minute longer in the opening sequences, you’ll have to tweak Doom: The Dark Ages in the Steam Launch options. All you need to do is go through properties by clicking the game on Steam. Afterward, head to the General Tab, hover over the launch options, and input the following:
- +com_skipIntroVideo 1
Save and exit after you input this command. The game will launch without playing the opening videos, so you can head straight into playing Doom.
Can You Use This Command for Other Games
Some games allow you to skip their opening scenes using this command line. Some examples are Doom 2016, Eternal, Wolfenstein, and others. However, if you think this command is causing any issues with your launcher, you can easily delete the prompt without any problems.
