Upcoming Marvel Rivals Buffs and Nerfs for Season 1
As Season 0 of Marvel Rivals comes to a close, NetEase has decided to shift the balance of power for certain heroes with buffs and nerfs. We’ll highlight some of these changes so you can be prepared for Season 1’s new meta characters and team comp.
Seasonal Buff Changes
As per a post from XOXLEAK on X, here’s what we know.

The current Season 0 has given Hela and Hawkeye a flat 20% damage buff for the entire run. However, for Season 1, these two DPS powerhouses will be off the buff rotation. We can expect that both Hela and Hawkeye will be seeing less use since their damage-to-skill requirement has widened.
In exchange, Wolverine and Storm will both be getting a buff next season. The changes aren’t clear, but players are speculating that it may be a damage buff for both. Storm is noted to be extremely weak, with her primary attack not doing enough damage to justify picking her in Ranked. Wolverine, on the other hand, is a difficult diver DPS to play as he’s solely a tankbuster, so we may see a damage buff on his part.
The only support hero who’ll get buffs is Cloak and Dagger. The current seasonal buff gives them a 15% buff to all their healing, but next season, they will be getting another adjustment.
Meanwhile, Venom and Captain America will be getting a buff through an increase in mobility. Whether it’s through a base movement speed buff or a decrease in their mobility skill cooldowns is still unknown, but we do know that they’ll be overall faster.
Expect to hear more news and details on the balance changes around January 9 once Season 0 ends and the Fantastic 4 are released.
