During the quest Searching Sakai in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, you’re given an option to choose between three different names. The game doesn’t make it clear how important this choice is, but it’ll be a factor in what will happen in the next quest. Here’s what the fake name choice entails.
A Requirement For The Tea Ceremony
While doing the quest Searching Sakai, you’ll be given three name choices: Shizuka, Sanuki, and Shigure. While each name has no definite impact on the story, it’s important to remember the name you chose as this will come into play during the quest The Tea Ceremony.
You must ensure that your identity and story are consistent in that quest. The guests will ask you for your name, and you must choose the one you selected back in Searching Sakai. For example, if you selected “Sanuki” as your fake name, you must give the guests that same name in The Tea Ceremony.
There are other choices in this quest that you must choose in order to stay incognito, like bowing halfway and turning the teacup right twice. Giving the wrong name will cause the guests to be more suspicious of you.
Maintaining your secrecy is crucial for confronting Wakasa later in the quest, as this will lead to a different playout for The Golden Teppo.
