AC Shadows: Should You Hunt or Gather the Kabukimono Leaders?
In Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Naoe must choose between hunting or gathering the remaining Kabukimono leaders in the quest Note to Kabukimono. To help make your decision easier, here are the possible outcomes in the quest.

Should You Hunt or Gather the Kabukimono Leaders?
After you kill the first 5 Kabukimono leaders in the Kabukimono quest line, you’ll unlock the Note to Kabukimono. This quest will give you information on the 3 remaining Kabukimono leaders.
Head back to Nishinomiya Shrine and interact with the board. The game will present you with two choices: hunt the leaders one by one or gather them together. Here’s how each choice plays out.
Choice #1: Hunt the leaders one by one.
This choice will take longer since you must go to each individual location of the three remaining leaders. However, this route is recommended if you’re having difficulty with the game’s combat system. This option allows you to focus on stealth, giving you an advantage when assassinating each leader. Here are all the three Kabukimono leaders’ locations.
- Corrupt Blade: Habayama Camp, Harima.
- The Laughing Man: Eastern Mount Kasagata, Harima.
- Peacock: Northern Mount Kasagata, Harima.
Choice #2: Gather them together.
This route is much faster since you’ll be gathering the remaining three leaders in one location. What also makes this route easier is that you’ll have prisoners helping you during your fight. The three Kabukimono leaders will gather in a lumberyard east of Takagi Otsuka fort in the Harima region.
To easily take them down, locate the explosive barrel near the lumberyard where the leaders have gathered. Detonate it by throwing your kunai. It’ll deal damage to the leaders that’ll allow you to finish them off easily.
