AC Shadows The Tea Ceremony Choice: Wakasa or Otama
In Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Naoe’s story path is known as the Path of Revenge, and The Tea Ceremony brings her one step closer to her goal. This quest will let you confront either Wakasa or Otama to figure out who the Golden Teppo is among the two. While your choice won’t impact the overall outcome, it’ll let you experience two different narratives.

Prior Choices
Before you reach the confrontation choices, there’ll be several instances during the quest where you’re prompted to choose between several options. These moments have minimal impact on the dialogue and won’t affect the overall outcome, so you can freely select any options during these situations.
Wakasa is the Golden Teppo Regardless of Choice
Your choice of who to confront won’t change the fact that Wakasa is the Golden Teppo. The outcome will always remain the same, but how you reach this conclusion will vary depending on your decision. Otama will have a bloodier encounter, while Wakasa will feature more confrontation.
Confront Wakasa
This choice will reveal Wakasa’s identity as the Golden Teppo more directly. It’s less bloody, but the dialogue might interest players who prefer to see Naoe’s vengeful side. In this choice, Wakasa will admit to being the Golden Teppo and warn Naoe to leave Sakai, to which she later responds that she will tear the former’s heart out.
Confront Otama
Choosing this path means you’ll have to assassinate Otama. You’ll need to chase her down in the street and kill her before looting her body. You’ll discover a letter revealing Wakasa’s identity as the Golden Teppo, which will prompt Naoe to pay Osaka a visit. This choice also implies that Otama is corrupt, so it’s morally okay for you to eliminate her, too.
Regardless of choice, you’ll find out Wakasa is the Golden Teppo — your next step in your revenge is to confront her again in Osaka. You’ll get to assassinate her during the Drive the Point Home quest later on.
