What is Unique Armor in Avowed?
Unique Armor is equipment with no duplicates, hence its name. They often have enchantments attached to them that can significantly affect your character’s abilities. Most effects are passive, but they can change the tide of combat if put in challenging situations.

- Obtained from a golden chest in a sunken land northeast of the Ranger Headquarters in Emerald Stair.
Many-hued Doublet
Effects:
- Weatherproofing Threads: -15% Incoming Fire, Frost, and Shock Damage
- Lesser Mended Scars: Increases Health Restoration from all sources by 15%

- Looted from a chest behind a burnable bramble within the Godless Shrine.

- Obtained by looting a chest inside a small round room in the cave west of Infested Camp.
Necropants

- Spectral Slave: Summons a Spectre to fight with you
- Poison-Proofed: +30% resistance to Poison Accumulation

- Found within a chest located on the second level of a broken tower, accessible through a fallen pillar in Shatterscarp.
Sentinel Mail
Effects:
- Defy the Elements: -30% incoming Fire, Frost, and Shock Damage
- Deflecting Palisade: 10% chance to avoid ranged damage
Where to Find:
- In Galawain’s Tusk, look for the cave-like stone structure in Pargrun Cache. Then, follow the path and jump over. Destroy the vines on the ground to reveal a hole you can drop into. You’ll immediately see a chest containing the armor.
Sky Mother’s Embrace
Effects:
- Turning Scales: +3% Damage Reduction
- Quickness: +20% Move Speed
Where to Find:
- Purchased from Stockkeeper Merchant at the South Warden Tower.
Stelgaer’s Pride
Effects:
- Bloodied Fury: Cast Barbaric Shout when taking damage greater than 30% of your Maximum Health
- Lesser Relentless: +5% Stamina regeneration rate

- Looted from a chest behind a breakable wooden wall north of Yellowband Camp in Dawnshore.
Stormdancer’s Scale
Effects:
- Sheltering Gale: 5% chance to avoid ranged damage
- Shock-Proofed: +30% resistance to Shock Accumulation
Where to Find:
- Chiko at Thirdborn can give it to you if you decide not to give her uncle the Heart of Leviathon at the end of the Heart of Valor quest.
Vailian Breastplate

Where to Find:
- Found in the Vidarro Family Mansion. It is located in the bedroom on the second floor. After going up the stairs, the double doors will be to the west, in a lockbox above the bookcase.
Heavy Armor

- Deep Faith: Slowly regenerate Essence
- Unwavering Conviction: You and your Companions receive +4% Damage Reduction
Where to Find:
- Purchased from Forgemaster Dela at Solace Keep’s Main Hall.
Lava-Forged Plate
Effects:
- Volcanic Outburst: Taking melee damage deals Fire Damage to nearby enemies
- Greater Burn-Proofed: +45% resistance to Fire Accumulation

- In Galawain’s Tusks, jump to the platform on the right as you exit the cave-in and then jump again to the next platform. Go all the way up to find the chest with the item.
Pauper’s Plate
Effects:
- Unfazed by Adversity: +2 Constitution
- Lesser Shock-Proofed: +20% resistance to Shock Accumulation

- Looted from a chest at the top of a broken tower built on the tall tree south of Lake Lacuna.

- It can be looted off the corpse of an Aedyran Soldier inside the Nacib’s lair at the Ruinous Cavern in Dawnshore.
