All Dragon’s Dogma 2 Portcrystal Locations
Traveling back and forth between Vermund and Battahl can take a lot of work, especially if you do it on foot. While Dragon’s Dogma 2 Ox Cart is available to ordinary people, they only take you to specific locations. It would help if you discovered all the Portcrystals in the human and beast kingdoms to expand your available destinations. This guide will show players the exact locations of these fast-travel beacons.

What are Dragon’s Dogma 2 Portcrystals
Dragon’s Dogma 2 offers players two systems of fast travel in the game: Portcrystals and Ox carts. The former is instantaneous and brings us closer to specific POIs, while the latter is cheaper but only happens at regular intervals. Using a Portcrystal requires having Ferrystones, which are pretty expensive. However, this form of fast travel saves us the trouble of being ambushed or interrupted, which can frequently occur in Ox Cart rides.
Using Portcrystals can be done anywhere as long as you have a Ferrystone with you. These items cost around 10000 gold from merchants, but you can randomly find them in chests as you explore various tombs and catacombs. To use it, select the Ferrystone and choose the Portcrystal you want to teleport to. However, it would help if you were in open spaces for this to work because you can only travel slowly indoors.
Players can also acquire Portable Portcrystals during their travels. These items can be placed in any open space, allowing you to access strategic locations far from regular ports and ox cart stations. These Portcrystals can be retrieved and placed again in another area. You can have up to ten active portable ports worldwide alongside the permanent ones. If you want to learn where to place these retrievable beacons, remove them from fixed Portcrystals.
How Do You Use and Unlock Portcrystals
Once you find a Portcrystal, you need to walk up to and interact with them to unlock their features. You can now use Ferrystones for any ports you have previously touched. You can only TP to these locations in open areas, so ensure you aren’t indoors when you want to fast-travel.
Portcrystals is a safer mode of transport since you won’t get attacked. However, the price for Ferrystones can make you think twice before you fast-travel, so you have to make sure that you are getting money’s worth before you TP via Portcrystals. Here are the locations of all permanent ports in the game:
Vernsworth Portcrystal
The city’s port is the easiest to find and most accessible as you start the game. You can find it outside the building of the Grand Riftstone of Vermund. You can access the town through the Seat of the Sovran main quest.
Harve Village Portcrystal
The one in Harve Village is the next Portcrystal you can find since it’s close to Vensworth. The hamlet can be located southwest of the city, which you can reach by heading west after exiting Vensworth and then going southwest as you follow the coastline. You can find the village’s Portcrystal at the southwestern edge of the area, which overlooks a cliff.
Sacred Arbor Portcrystal
You can find this Portcrystal near a cliff in the northern part of the Sacred Arbor. You can see the Elven hideout northwest of the capital city by landmarks such as Trevo Mine. However, you can only use this Portrystal once you initiate the True Ending quest after completing the Legacy mission.
Seafloor Shrine Portcrystal
The Seafloor Shrine area can only be accessed after progressing through the Legacy quest, so you won’t gain access to the Portcrystal until you reach a specific part of the quest line. Eventually, the water from the unchosen world will be drained, exposing the seabed. Once this happens, you can travel towards the Seafloor Shrine, which will surround skeletons and zombies. The Portcrystal sits east of the center of the zone.
Agamen Volcanic Island Portcrystal
The last permanent Portcrystal is far from Vensworth. Like the previous three ports, you can only access this once you initiate the True Ending quest after completing the Legacy mission. Otherwise, most of the area will be locked from you if you go to the Agamen Volcanic area. You can find the zone by following the coastline to Bakbattahl. The Portcrystal will be visible while doing the True Ending questline.
Bakbattahl (No Portcrystal)
The Beastmen capital also doesn’t have a Portcrystal, which is weird since it’s a significant settlement in Dragon’s Dogma 2. However, you can quickly establish a portable port here since an area near the city provides materials to make one. A cave near the coastal path north of the town will lead you to a cave. You can find five pieces within the cavern and buy more in exchange for 20 Crystallized Wyvern Blood.
You can reach the capital by heading southwest of Vensworth and following the coastline south. Once you have unlocked the city, you should look for a suitable place to install the Portcrystal. Ideally, it would help if you placed it near the center so you can easily access other parts of the area.
If you can’t find a location within this list, then it’s highly probable that a Portcrystal doesn’t exist there. However, you can always set up a portable one in zones you want to visit frequently. All you need to do is find enough materials to install Portcrystals so you can come and go as much as you want.
