Avowed Sargamis Choice: Do You Give Him the Relic or Not
Sargamis is the center of one of the many crossroad interactions in Avowed. This encounter rewards you with the Last Light of Day, but several outcomes might arise from your choices within this scene. You should know which option to pick at the crossroads to get the most out of this quest.

Sargamis Choice
At some point in the game, you’ll be given the option to provide Sargamis the relic during the Dawntreader side quest. After retrieving the Splinter of Eothas and returning to the Temple of Eothas, you’ll be given several options for what to do with the item and Sargamis. While your choices will ultimately only lead to a peaceful or violent resolution, your decision will result in crucial alterations that will maximize the rewards you receive.
Give the Relic to Sargamis and Convince Him to Stop the Experiment (Best Option)
The best choice is to give Sargamis the relic, place it on the wheel, and proceed with the action. However, after you do this, you’ll be given four more choices afterward. The option where you “Convince him to stop his experiment.” is the best one to pick because it lets you obtain the Last Light of Day and a significant amount of EXP without a fight. It also enables you to speak to the Voice.
Other Sargamis Outcomes
Aside from the best result, three other outcomes can occur. Two choices result in the same ending, while the other two result in different scenes. Here are the alternatives and the corresponding outcomes:
- Give Sargamis the Relic (Choice): Persuade Himself to Sacrifice Himself in the Device – Sargamis dies, and you can loot the Last Light of Day from his body. You get less EXP in this outcome.
- Give Sargamis the Relic (Choice): Offer Yourself as Sacrifice – You die from the experiment but respawn before the objective.
- Give Sargamis the Relic (Choice): Back Out After Offering Yourself as Sacrifice – You fight Sargamis and can loot the Last Light of Day from him after you kill him. You get a moderate amount of EXP from this.
- Don’t Give Sargamis the Relic (Choice) – You fight Sargamis and can loot the Last Light of Day from him after you kill him. You get a moderate amount of EXP from this.
If you are itching for a fight, you can go for the last two options, but the most optimal one is always to give Sargamis the relic and keep him alive.
