Dragon Age: The Veilguard Romance List and Guide
Like many BioWare RPGs, you have a chance to be partners with one of your companions, and Dragon Age: The Veilguard is no exception. Many players are wondering who’s available for romance and how they can start on their personal questlines. For those in need of some help with these questions, this guide will answer them all.
Luckily, there are no race or gender restrictions for the companions in Veilguard, so feel free to create your character as you see fit. Take note that you can only be committed to one companion per run, so choose whoever resonates with you the most.
If you need to look for dialogue options that lead to romance, each option should display an icon whenever you hover over it. The ones with a heart will get you closer to a commitment.

Lace Harding
Harding, a scout of the Inquisition, is one of the few Dwarves in Thedas who can use magic. There are a few ways to max out her affinity for you. First, whenever there are dialogue options about her use of magic, try to be as supportive as you can. Secondly, bring her along with you while questing since you can’t do quests for the Inquisition faction. Lastly, try to exhaust all companion interactions while in the Lighthouse as she’ll gain some affinity with you from it.
The following is Harding’s personal questline:
- An Unfamiliar Sense
- The Waiting Stone
- The Bond Rekindled
- The Heart of a Titan
- The Eternal Hymn
Davrin
Davrin is part of the Grey Wardens and is the most direct companion when it comes to romance. Picking direct and straightforward dialogue with him will gain you more affinity. Also, always pick positive dialogue when talking about the Grey Wardens. One crucial way to gain a lot of affinity with Davrin is to flirt with him whenever possible and to be firm to his Griffon, Assan, in “How to Train a Griffon.”
These are Davrin’s personal quests:
- How to Train a Griffon
- A Friend in Need
- The Palate of a Griffon
- The Profane and the Lost

A Qunari dragon hunter belonging to the Lords of Fortune, Taash is an intrepid warrior who likes to kick down doors and take names. While in dialogue, Taash prefers more aggressive answers when it comes to battle. Should Taash talk about their relationship with their mother, use more supportive lines instead. If you’re in the Rivain Coast region, completing quests with Taash in the party will let you gain some affinity with them.

Lucanis Dellamorte
Belonging to the Antivan Crows, Lucanis is a cold and adept assassin who earned the moniker of “Mage Killer.” His romance route is fairly straightforward, as regular dialogue with him will earn you some affinity with him. During the first act of the campaign, you must choose to save either the city of Minrathous or Treviso. Here are all of Neve’s personal quests:
- A Study of Dock Town
- The Cobbled Swan Case
- A Clear Mind
