Edible vs Poison Mushrooms in Peak

Your primary Stamina meter is key to making longer and tougher climbs in Peak. As you clamber on a wall, that bar will start draining until you have to use your secondary stamina bar. To keep that meter full, you’ll need to eat food around the environment, especially mushrooms. The riskiest part is that some mushrooms are poisonous and can instead cut your stamina bar in half. Here’s a surefire way to identify which mushrooms in Peak are edible or not.

Differences Between Poison and Edible Mushrooms

All the mushrooms in Peak come in 4 varieties: Button, Bugle, Cluster, Chubby, and Weird Shroom. Each of them has two different appearances, one that indicates poison and the other being safe to eat. This is how you can tell whether or not they’re poisonous:

Utility Mushrooms

Aside from the ones you can eat, other mushrooms in Peak help you traverse the map. You can place these on the ground to create special platforms, or even provide healing to the entire party. These are all the current unique mushrooms you can find:

  • Bounce Fungus: Place on the ground to create a trampoline platform.
  • Remedy Fubgus: Emits a healing aura when thrown on the ground.

Mycology Achievement

If you manage to eat four different non-toxic mushrooms in a single run, you will be rewarded with the mushroom cap cosmetic hat for your trouble.
