With the start of 2025, the release of GTA VI inches ever closer. Reddit Community Leaks Game Graphics and Devkits
On the subreddit r/GamingLeaksandRumors, there’s been a leak of what seemingly looks like Rockstar’s offices. The in-game screenshot shown in the photo appears to be Lucia’s model, with the background matching GTA VI’s setting of Vice City with palm trees present. Right next to the monitor is a PS5 dev kit, confirming the game’s release on PlayStation 5. While there isn’t much to glean from the photo, the Reddit post also comes with two videos showing the hardware the office uses.
The video shows an Xbox One Scorpio Dev Kit, which is hardware and software for developers to create games for Xbox games. If this is anything to go by, this means that GTA VI will be released on Xbox Series X and S. We speculate that GTA VI will be released sometime in Autumn 2025, likely around mid-December.
We can expect the game to come out for both consoles, but there’s still no news if or when the GTA VI will get a PC port. Take note that the photo and video were shot during 2021, which lines up with the pre-Alpha preview build state of the game.
The devkit and photo line up with the state of GTA VI right now, since the game will be released on next-gen consoles, but the model of Lucia matches the model shown in the 2022 gameplay leak.
