Exploration
You can explore the town and the Island as much as you like on Luma Island. The game has no stamina and won’t force you to sleep. You can stay up all night to explore and wander. As you explore, you’ll get a chance to find loot piles and treasure chests. The game’s environment is filled with mysteries, and if they catch your attention. It might lead you to a treasure chest or items. If you see a light on the other side of the forest, follow it. Luma Island rewards its player’s curiosity and exploration. So, don’t be shy and start exploring the Island.
Tool Upgrades
Players need tools to craft and use in their professions like other games. It’s best to upgrade your tools as you level up in the game. Especially if your profession has specific tools for the job, when you begin leveling up in the game, start by upgrading your pickaxe first since most professions require some ore to be gathered. Then upgrade your axe for chopping wood. If you chose the Fisherman profession, upgrade your fishing as you progress. Focus on upgrading the necessary tools for your profession first.
Quests
Exploring the town will lead players to interact with NPCs. It may be a chore to some, but they provide players with quests on Luma Island. The quests reward players with various items, but most will pay with coins. The quests will vary from helping fix a shop to exploring a temple. Accept the quest from the NPC and finish the task. Once you finish, a marker on the map will show where the NPC is. You can head back to them and reap the spoils of your quest.
Lumas
Lumas are companions you can raise and the focus of the game. They can help you look for treasures and give you Luma Energy daily, which is essential to level up your profession. You can collect many Lumas on the Island, but you must complete the Ancient Farm Temple to find your first. The temple is near the entrance to the homestead. Completing the run will involve solving puzzles, fighting off monsters, and avoiding traps. Once you reach the end of the temple, you’ll find a treasure chest containing a Luma Egg.
After acquiring your first Luma Egg, you’ll need an Incubator. They can be found at the blue and white shop that sells blueprints. After crafting the Incubator, you need Luma Life and Spirit. Once you have all the items, combine the Luma Life and Spirit in the Incubator and wait for the egg to hatch your first Luma.
