No Rest for the Wicked has a plethora of runes available, but no one knows precisely what each of them does. Many still need clarification about how many exist in Cerim. While you can see the names of each rune when you have them equipped, most of them don’t explicitly state what they can do for your character. This guide will help players familiarize themselves with all the spells in No Rest for the Wicked. 

List of All No Rest for the Wicked Runes

  • Air Dodge – performs an aerial maneuver to dodge attacks and follow it up with a thrust attack
  • Arrow – fires a normal arrow or charges up a powerful arrow attack
  • Balance Smash – performs an aerial somersault, then smashes the ground with a hammer
  • Berserk Flurry – performs a series of attacks, with the fourth and last being a massive downward slash
  • Berserker Strike – charges up and launches a strong frontal slash
  • Blink – performs a short distance teleport
  • Chain Lightning – launches a short burst of arc lightning
  • Channel – trade health for a certain amount of Focus
  • Charge Strike – performs a charge strike that covers a short distance
  • Circular – performs two circular slashes
  • Cold Enchantment – imbues Cold element to your weapon
  • Cone Shot – fires a shotgun volley in a cone in front of you
  • Crush – pierce or slam the ground directly under you to deal AoE damage
  • Crushing Dash – jumps forward and slams the ground to deal AoE damage
  • Crushing Dodge – performs a short distance jump to dodge an attack and deals a mini-slam
  • Crushing Flurry – performs a flurry of slash attacks
  • Crushing Quad – performs a series of four sweeping blunt attacks, which ends with a strong slam
  • Crushing Triple – performs a series of three strong attacks, with the last one being a slam
  • Crushing Uppercut – perform an upward attack that knocks up enemies
  • Damage Surge – buff yourself to increase your damage
  • Dashing Stab – lunges forward to perform a series of quick stabs and then step back
  • Dodge Slamdown – performs an aerial maneuver, then slams down
  • Double Crush – performs two strong slam downs in quick succession
  • Double Spin – performs two spins that damage anything in a short distance
  • Dual Breaker – take a step back and then perform a powerful lunge attack
  • Dual Flurry – take a step back, then perform a lunge along with a series of stab attacks
  • Dual Slash – perform a somersault to travel a considerable distance, then slash down
  • Electric Enchantment- imbue your weapon with Electric element
  • Eruption – jump and slam down to cause a massive AoE eruption
  • Evasive Combo – performs two quick slashes, then performs an aerial maneuver to move away while landing with a slash attack
  • Evasive Pierce – perform a quick piercing slash attack, then take a considerable step back
  • Evasive Shot – leap back while firing a long shot
  • Evasive Strike – perform a forward lunge along with an overhand strike
  • Evasive Swing – take a massive swing in front of you, then follow it up with a sidestep (you can perform this without doing the sidestep)
  • Fierce Dash – charges up to perform a strong dash attack
  • Fire Arrow – use fire arrows or charge up a flame powershot
  • Fire Dash – dashes forward and performs an uppercut attack imbued with Fire
  • Fire Flurry – perform a series of attacks imbued with Fire, which include slashes and stabs
  • Fire Nova – slams the ground in front of you to create a burning AoE zone
  • Fire Slam – jumps forward and slams the ground to cause a fiery eruption
  • Fire Swipe – perform a significant sweeping attack imbued with Fire
  • Fire Throw – throw your weapon forward imbued with Fire, then call it back
  • Fire Weave – launches a volley of five fire projectiles in front of you

  • Glacial Spike – jumps a short distance, then summons an area with Ice Spike when you land
  • Ground Slam – perform a strong sweep, then jump to slam down
  • Hail – fires a volley of five ice projectiles
  • Heal Aura – channels a large healing zone
  • Heat Enchantment – imbue your weapon with Fire
  • Hellfire – summons an AoE hellfire zone then performs a jump attack to slam down on the area to cause a massive fiery explosion
  • Ice Arrow – use ice arrows or charge up a frost Powershot
  • Ice Bolt – fire a single Ice projectile in front of you
  • Ice Ram – lunge forward to deal Ice damage
  • Ice Sweep – perform a quick front sweep imbued with Cold
  • Ice Throw – throw your weapon forward imbued with Ice, then call it back
  • Ice Whirl – performs a series of slow but powerful spin attacks imbued with Cold
  • Juggle Strike – perform a strong knock-up attack
  • Jump Cut – jump forward to execute a normal slash attack
  • Kick Slash – swirls forward to perform a kick sweep followed by a slash attack
  • Knockdown Swirl – performs a circular swipe that can knock down enemies
  • Knockout Shot – charges up a strong powershot that can knockback enemies
  • Leap – perform a considerable leap forward, then slam the ground
  • Lightning Arrow – use ice arrows or charge up a frost powershot
  • Lightning Assault – lunge forward and perform a solid upward slash imbued with Lightning
  • Lightning Claw – lunge forward and execute two slashes imbued with Lightning
  • Lightning Dash – Dash forward and thrust your weapon to deal Lightning damage

  • Multi Shot – fires a volley of successive shots
  • Multi Spin – performs a continuous but slow spin attack that covers a large area
  • Pestilence – leaps then slams your weapon to the ground to create an eruption of Plague
  • Piercing Dash – charges forward to deal piercing damage
  • Piercing Dodge – lunge a bit forward, then take a considerable step back while dealing slashing damage
  • Piercing Flurry – lunge forward and execute a series of multiple stab attacks
  • Piercing Spin – perform a large circular sweep
  • Plague Arrow – use Plague arrows or charge up a Pestilent Powershot
  • Plague Breath – launch a Plague projectile in front of you
  • Plague Crush – execute a strong slash attack imbued with Plague
  • Plague Nova – slams the ground in front of you and creates a zone of Plague
  • Plague Strike – lunges forward and strikes upward to deal Plague damage
  • Plague Sweep – perform a large sweep dealing Plague damage

  • Reap – perform two sweep attacks and a slam
  • Repair – repair the durability of your items
  • Return – return to the last Cerim Whisper you used
  • Scream – unleash a scream shockwave
  • Shock Nova – slams the ground to create a zone afflicted with Shock
  • Shock Strike – perform two Shock slashes
  • Slamdown – perform a quick jump and Slash
  • Slashing Dash – dash forward a considerable distance and perform a dash attack
  • Slashing Dodge – step back, then lunge forward to perform a dash attack
  • Slashing Flurry – perform a flurry of slashing attacks
  • Slashing Pirouette – perform two large slashing attacks
  • Slashing Spin – execute a strong slash spin
  • Spark – launches a volley of five Lightning projectiles
  • Spin Crush – perform one semi-spin and immediately follow up with a slam
  • Spin – execute a downward jump spin attack
  • Stamina Wellspring – buffs up your Stamina
  • Surge Slash – perform a slow but powerful slash
  • Taunt Strike – taunt an enemy and immediately perform a strike
  • Thorns – cover yourself with Thorns (which return damage when hit)
  • Throw – throw your weapon forward, then call it back
  • Thrust – perform a slow but powerful thrust attack
  • Thunderstrike – charge your weapon with Lightning, then leap into the air before slamming the ground to create a shock zone
  • Tornado Spin – perform a series of quick spin attacks
  • Triple Barrage – perform three quick strikes
  • Triple Swipe – perform three quick swipes in front of you
  • Twirl Dash – Dash forward while blitzing through enemies to deal damage
  • Twirl Spin – perform a strong sweep attack 
  • Wallbreaker – perform a slow but powerful thrust attack
  • Whirl – perform a series of slow but powerful spin attacks
  • Whirlstep Strike – Dash forward, then execute one spin attack
  • Whirlwind – execute a series of spin attacks that cover a wider area
  • Wild Rush – perform a series of quick slash strikes

It is still being determined if you can use these runes with any weapon, but some are restricted to specific types, like arrow shots and magic projectiles. However, some of these are known to work regardless of what you use, like Repair, Channel, and Pulse of Health. Ensure you know which Runes you want to use because you cannot replace them once they are imbued with your weapon.
