How to Unlock Ranked Mode in Rematch
Accessing Ranked Mode is pretty straightforward, but it will take time if you’ve just started out playing Rematch. Players need to reach Level 5 by playing unranked matches. Then, complete the 5 placement matches to determine your rank. Reaching Level 5 will be a breeze since, at the early stage, the game provides you with plenty of XP as long as you play matches.
Note: Join a full team, whether you play with friends or random players; the game doesn’t allow solo queue in Ranked matches.

How to Rank Up in Ranked Mode
Understanding how the Ranked Point system works will help you on how you can gain or lose points in Ranked play. To rank up, you need to earn Ranked Points (RP). The points are earned from winning a ranked match. Just like other ranked modes, if you win, you gain points, and if you lose, you drop points. How much you earn from each match will depend on three aspects: your team’s outcome, your performance, and the opposing team’s strength.
The RP you gain or lose isn’t fixed; it’ll all depend on the three aspects mentioned above, as well as your rank, win streak, and the balance of the match. If you face off against a high-ranking team, you’ll gain more RP.
Here’s how Ranked Mode works in Rematch.
- Winning matches earns RP, which has bonus gains for upsets or win streaks.
- Losing matches reduces RP; if you underperformed or fell against lower-ranked teams, the RP loss is higher.
- Promotion series are unlocked when you hit the RP threshold to move into a new Rank. You need to win 2 out of 3 matches to advance.
- RP does not reset between divisions. The progress is continuous unless you’re demoted.
- Demotions can occur if you drop below the RP range of your current division.
The key to maintaining your rank or advancing is consistency. It’s easy to reach your rank if you continue to play and have a decent team to rank up with.
Tips and Tricks to Win Ranked Matches in Rematch
After understanding how Ranked mode works in Rematch, you’ll need to climb up the ranks and be at the top. Having the skills, decision-making, positioning, and awareness will help you stand out among other players.
Here are some tips and tricks if you want to improve in Ranked Mode.
- Maintain your defense: low-ranked players will often ignore positioning and prefer to rush. As much as possible, stay back to deny breakaways and keep your goalkeeper from 1v1 encounters.
- Avoid risky passes: Cleanly passing the ball while under pressure from the opposing team is a skill you need to learn; while you haven’t perfected it yet, try backboard passes to create better chances and confuse the opponents.
- Aim for corners: Upper left and upper right shots are more effective than center shots. Aim for areas that the goalkeepers cannot reach.
- Use Rainbow flicks wisely: Rainbowing over defenders is effective on players who like to spam slide tackles.
- Shoot, don’t overpass: If you’re sure about your shot, take it. Don’t give it up for a risky assist. If you’re going to pass it to a teammate who’s unprepared, it’ll waste the possession. Create your chances if there’s an opportunity for it.
Now that you have a better understanding of Ranked Mode and have learned a few tips and tricks, you can hop on Rematch and start climbing the ranks. Despite the game having flashy moves, focusing on the objective, and cooperating with your team, you’ll be guaranteed to reach your desired rank in Rematch.
