What Happened to Spectre Divide
According to a letter posted on Spectre Divide’s social media pages, the game didn’t reach the desired player count, and incoming revenue from the game wasn’t enough. The studio’s funding was stretched too thin, so the only option was to close Mountaintop Studios’ doors and shut down Spectre Divide.
The company said that they tried looking for publishers, investments, or acquisitions to keep the game going. Sadly, they couldn’t make it work since the game industry is in a tough spot.

The Future of Spectre Divide
Luckily, the letter also gave details on what’s going to happen to the game before its shutdown. The game will be offline within the next 30 days.
