This guide will provide the best Kingpin build in terms of items, ability order, and powers.

Meta Item Builds
- Boots
- Meditation: Standing still gives you ramping mana regen for you and nearby allies.
- Helmet
- Scholar: Gain 7.5 HP and 6 Mana every minute, up to 8 stacks.
- Weapon
- Amplifier: Abilities refresh 5% faster, stockpiling up to 10 stacks until casting another ability.
This build completely focuses on building up your health to soak in more damage while keeping up your skill cooldown and mana regen for more potential hooks. Alternatively, you can replace Scholar with:
- Helmet
- Guardian’s Respite: Gain 15% of your Max HP as a shield, which regenerates out of combat.
Picking this allows you to specialize more in tanking, allowing you to stand on the frontlines without casting much of your abilities. Although it’s good to keep in mind that Kingpin contributes more to fights when hard CC-ing players.
Ability Prioritization
- Level 1: Dash
- Level 2: Primal Slam
- Level 3: Abyssal Grasp
- Level 4: Dash
- Level 5: Slugwave
- Level 6: Abyssal Grasp
- Level 7: Primal Slam
- Level 8: Abyssal Grasp
- Level 9: Slugwave
Dash is extremely important for your early-game mobility as Kingpin can be extremely slow at the start. Primal Slam comes second as it can clear monster camps fast. Meanwhile, Abyssal Grasp is a must for isolating enemy players for your team to kill.
Best Powers
Kingpin’s biggest strength is his ability to start fights, especially when other enemies can’t see him. Some of the Powers are perfect utility tools to help you set up for better engagements. To enhance your engagements, take the following:
- Blinkstone: Using this item teleports you 1050 range away.
- Delicate Disguise: When at full health, gain invisibility while out of combat.
- Stealth Cloak: Activate to become Stealthed, draining 10 Mana per second.
- Delicate X-Ray Goggles: While Stealthed, see moving enemies through cover.
- Grappling Hook: Release a hook that pulls you towards an enemy, rooting them for 0.5 seconds
Always prioritize Blinkstone and Delicate Disguise, as these will set you up for strategic flanks and will allow you to break an enemy team’s formation with your Primal Slam and Slugwave. If not, Stealth Cloak and Delicate X-Ray Goggles are a potent combo for scouting and calling out enemy positions for your squad.
