Skill Gem: Tame Beast
Available for the Spear, this Tier 9 skill gem requires the player to be at level 31 and have 72 Dexterity to engrave. Its skill description states that:
- Conjure Azmerian Wisps to inflict Hinder on a Rare Beast for a duration. If you kill the affected Beast while it’s engulfed with wisps, it will be captured and go to your skill gem. After being captured, you can now summon the beast as a companion.
- Captured beasts can retain up to four modifiers.
Every rare modifier that previously buffs nearby enemies or applies debuffs will now benefit you, so it’s important to consider your target’s modifiers first before attempting a capture. Beasts you capture can be augmented with Minion support gems for more utility or survivability.
This skill only works on Beast-type enemies, so Constructs, Demons, Eldritch, Humanoid, and Undead enemies will not be affected.
Note: Once the Tame Beast skill gem has a captured monster, it will be account-bound and will no longer be tradeable.
