Path of Exile 2 Pre-load Schedule and Set-up: How and When to Download
Path of Exile 2 Early Access is just a few days away. We’re expecting a large download size for the much-awaited sequel, and YES, there is a pre-load for the game. If you want to get ahead of the queue in PoE 2, you’ll need to download the requisites before the Early Access launch. Here’s how to set up the pre-load.

PoE 2 Pre-load Dates
The pre-load schedule varies depending on the console, so if you’re ready to download the requisites, you should do so as soon as possible. Here is the scheduling for pre-download on all platforms:
- PC: December 5, 2024, 5 PM PST
- Xbox: Available
- PlayStation: Available 24 hours before the Early Access release (only for Founder’s Pack owners)
In general, all Pre-Downloads should be available on December 5. Since we’re expecting servers to be congested, it’s recommended that players set up the game beforehand.
How to Install PoE 2 Pre-loads
The Pre-load will be available on standalone and other associated platforms. If you’re playing on Steam or the Epic Games Store, you can install them in those services. Here’s how to download all Pre-loads:
- PC: Install the Pre-Loads via Steam, Epic Games, or the Standalone Client (You’ll have to sign into your account to do so)
- Xbox: Search Path of Exile 2 in the Xbox Store and select the pre-install button
- PlayStation: Search Path of Exile 2 in the PlayStation Store and select the pre-install button.
Note: You need a Founder’s Pack to install the Path of Exile 2 Pre-load for Early Access.
