All Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Secret Boss Locations

Players will encounter many bosses in their quest to defeat the Paintress in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. Several elite enemies are hidden in secret areas, which makes them optional encounters. However, they provide several unique and great rewards, so you should try to defeat them. This guide will help players locate the secret bosses in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.

All Secret Bosses in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33

There are only two secret bosses in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, on top of all the optional ones. These two are considered some of the most brutal fights in the game, and you usually fight them near the end of your playthrough. Clea and Simon are located in two different areas, and you’ll need to acquire or complete specific requirements to fight them.

All Secret Boss Locations

The two secret bosses are in end-game high-level areas, so you’ll need to gear and power up your characters accordingly. If you aren’t confident enough to fight them, you can skip out on their fights since they’re optional. However, these bosses drop some of the best loot available in the game and provide more profound lore to the story. Here are all Secret Bosses locations and how to find them:

Clea (level 85 to 90): You can find Clea in the Flying Manor. You’ll need to unlock Esquie’s fly ability to reach this area. You’ll need to complete all four trials to unlock the atelier. To reach this location, walk down the broken stairs from the Central Plaza Expedition Flag and grapple across.
Simon (level 90+): You can find Simon in The Abyss in Renoir’s Drafts. You’ll need Esque’s fly ability to reach this area as well. The arena is underwater, so you’ll also need Esque’s swim ability.

Both bosses will require high-level characters, so make sure you’re at least level 90 to take on both.

All Secret Boss Rewards

Clea and Simon drop great rewards, making your runs much easier. These rewards include Luminas and items. Here are all the rewards you can get from defeating both Clea and Simon:

Clea: Clea’s Life, Perfect Chroma Catalyst x1, and Grandiose Chroma Catalyst x3
Simon: Simoso, Colour of Lumina x50, and Perfect Chroma Catalyst x2

Note: You can face both bosses prior to NG+ runs.
