Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon Pet Croakmaw to Lose an Arm (Permanent)

Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon’s open-world format means you’ll encounter many things in your journey. You can go deep into catacombs, fight dangerous monsters, and even raid treasure rooms. Some interactions can be as casual as petting creatures along the way, but these seemingly relaxing encounters might prove disastrous, especially if it’s with a Croakmaw.

Where Can You Pet the Croakmaw
You can encounter a Croakmaw that you can pet in the second region. The creature will be near the fire pit of a ransacked camp. If you get near the Croakmaw, you get an option to pet it.
Should You Pet the Croakmaw
Definitely no. Petting the Croakmaw will result in it eating your left arm, which is a permanent change. Our recommendation is to either avoid the creature or simply kill it. However, petting this Croakmaw does award you an achievement, so if you’re trying to collect all the trophies, you’ll have to risk losing your arm.
Can You Bring Back Your Arm
No. After the Croakmaw has eaten your arm, you can no longer return it. Even if you kill the creature, it will not reverse the change. There are also no known ways to replace this disability for your character. You will likely have to do the rest of the playthrough with only one arm.
