New Phoenix Buffs Coming iIn Valorant 9.10 Patch
After years of waiting, one of Valorant’s first Duelists, Phoenix, is finally getting a buff. While other agents such as Jett and Neon have been popular choices in matches as the game evolved, Phoenix has received much less attention. That’s all about to change though with Valorant Patch 9.10. Here’s everything you need to know about the new upcoming changes to Phoenix.

New Phoenix Changes
In Patch 9.10 there will be significant changes coming to Phoenix’s abilities, most of which will focus on his Curveball Flash and Blaze Wall.
- Blaze Wall
- With the new patch, Blaze Wall will be able to permeate or go through walls, much like Harbor’s High Tide. This will be a welcome change as Phoenix’s Blaze Wall used to end after coming into contact with a wall or surface, but now it’ll travel through walls for up to 21 meters. Blaze Wall will still heal Phoenix and damage any player who goes through the wall.
- Curveball Flash
- Phoenix’s Curveball Flash will now become a signature ability, getting two charges with an additional recharge for every two kills. Previously, Phoenix was the only duelist in the roster that didn’t have a recharge when getting kills.
These changes aim to put Phoenix on par with other duelists such as Jett, Reyna, and Raze. With the changes to his Curveball Flashes, getting chain kills will be much easier and will help increase the win rate in 1v1 encounters. Meanwhile, his new Blaze Wall will make it easier for players to make space to enter sites and contribute to the team’s objectives.
Phoenix Changes Release Date
These new changes will come along with Patch 9.10 on November 19, 2024. With the current patch being 9.07, expect the game to roll out these changes in stages in the coming weeks leading to the big update in Patch 9.10.
