Valorant’s upcoming Team Deathmatch mode is a 5v5 mode where two teams compete to get 100 kills first. The match is divided into four timed stages, each featuring a different set of weapons. Team Deathmatch has no economy, so players can respawn every 1.5 seconds after they die. This makes the mode very fast-paced and action-packed.

Valorant Team Deathmatch Overview

Team Deathmatch is a new fun way to enjoy the game and experiment with different playstyles. This exciting mode will allow players to enjoy Valorant’s tactical FPS without the pressure of winning rounds and saving the economy. This new version of the classic Deathmatch in the game will be a great way to enjoy playing with friends. Here are things you should expect from the upcoming game mode:

  • 5v5 matches: Two teams of five players will compete to get 100 kills first.
  • Players can respawn every 1.5 seconds after they die.
  • Fast-paced and action-packed: The mode is fast-paced, with players constantly respawning and getting into fights.
  • Maps designed explicitly for the mode: The maps in Team Deathmatch are specifically designed for the method, with more obstacles and objects to hide around and peek from.

Valorant Team Deathmatch Rules

Each match lasts 9 minutes and 30 seconds, divided into four stages. When eliminated, players will respawn after a brief delay of 1.5 seconds. The primary objective is to be the first team to reach 100 kills. It’s as straightforward as that – the group that achieves 100 kills first emerges victorious.

You will return to life in your team’s Spawn Room, a safe area when you die. Upon respawning, you’ll have a 15-second period where you are protected from damage and enemy abilities. However, after these 15 seconds, you’ll start taking damage if you stay in the Spawn Room too long. So, make sure to move quickly and get back into the game!

If a match concludes before either team reaches 100 kills, the team that holds the lead at the end of the game will be declared the winner. So, maintaining a solid performance throughout the match is crucial. If the game ends with the score tied, neither team has reached 100 kills. The whole game will conclude in a draw. This ensures fairness and acknowledges the balanced efforts of both teams.

Valorant Team Deathmatch Maps

The maps in Team Deathmatch are also specifically designed for the mode, with more obstacles and objects to hide around and peek from. Team Deathmatch is a great way to practice your aim and mechanics in Valorant. It’s also a lot of fun to just jump in and get some kills. If you’re looking for a more casual experience, Team Deathmatch is a great option and features three new maps designed explicitly for the mode. These maps are:

  • Piazza: Piazza is a small, close-quarters map with much verticality. The map comprises several buildings, with narrow streets and alleyways connecting them. This makes for a fast-paced and action-packed map, with players constantly fighting in close quarters.
  • District: The district is a medium-sized map comprising close-quarters and long-range combat areas. The map consists of several streets and buildings, with some open and more enclosed spaces. This makes for a more versatile map, with players able to choose their preferred playstyle.
  • Kasbah: Kasbah is a large, open-area map with many long-range combat areas. The map comprises several buildings and courtyards, with open spaces and more enclosed areas. This makes for a more strategic map, with players needing to use their abilities and positioning to their advantage.

Each map has unique features and challenges, making for various gameplay experiences. Whether you prefer close-quarters combat or long-range combat, a map in Team Deathmatch is perfect for you.

Valorant Team Deathmatch Weapons

Team Deathmatch is unique because it does not require players to buy guns. Each side does not have to save credits or preserve their economy. How gamers get their weapons will be based on the following features:

Weapon Loadout

  • You can choose your weapons before each stage at the start of the match or whenever you’re in the Spawn Room. As you progress through each new round, your loadout will automatically upgrade, becoming more powerful.
  • There’s no need to worry about your economy in this game. You don’t have to manage any in-game currency.

Weapon Spawner

  • There are Weapon Spawners placed in fixed locations throughout the map. These spawners contain weapons that you can pick up. Make sure you and your team get to them first.
  • The weapons available in the Weapon Spawner may change from match to match. Each stage has its own weapons that improve as the game progresses.
  • You can destroy weapons taken from the Weapon Spawners by pressing the drop weapon key (usually ‘G’). Once destroyed, you will go back to your original loadout weapon.
  • Weapons obtained from the Weapon Spawners have limited ammo and will be destroyed when they run out.

Team Deathmatch Orbs

Spread across the map, you will find Recovery and Ultimate Orbs waiting to be collected. When you come across either orb, make sure to gather your teammates close by. These orbs create zones where your allies can step in and receive the same beneficial effects.

The orbs will spawn randomly throughout the map and disappear after a certain amount of time. You can pick up balls by walking over them, which will be shared with your teammates. The orbs are a great way to get an advantage in Team Deathmatch. Here are the different types of powerups you can get during matches:

  • Recovery Orbs – Recovery Orbs bestow a helpful boost that gradually restores your Health and Shield over 6 seconds. You can find these orbs in specific areas of each map. Just keep in mind that the enemy team will also be eyeing them. The amount of Shield you regain from the Recovery Orbs depends on your chosen loadout. Additionally, if you meet your demise, the respawn time will be 30 seconds before you can rejoin the action.
  • Ultimate Orbs – At regular intervals, Ultimate Orbs will appear in certain map sections. Picking up these orbs contributes to charging up a percentage of your Ultimate ability. Your goal is to reach 100% to unleash your powerful ultimate skill.
  • Weapon Orbs – These orbs offer a chance to acquire random weapons, including melee weapons. The size of the ball determines the type of weapon obtained.

Other Features of the Upcoming Team Deathmatch

Players can expect other features besides the new maps, weapon loadout system, and Deathmatch orbs from this game mode. To make TDM more fun and chaotic, devs have also added additional perks to it. Here are the other essential features of Team Deathmatch:

  • EXP – You can earn up to 4,000 XP for a Team Deathmatch match. The amount of XP you earn depends on your performance, such as how many kills you get and how many assists you make. You can also earn bonus XP for completing specific challenges, such as getting a certain number of headshots or winning the match.
  • Abilities – You can use your skills in Team Deathmatch. However, abilities have a shorter cooldown than they do in other modes. This means you can use your abilities more often, making the method more chaotic and fun.
