V Rising Herb Farm How to Plant and Grow Seeds

By | May 14th, 2024 | Categories: Others

Most of the resources in V Rising can be farmed, bought, or obtained as drops from various mobs. Plants are the only material you can grow inside your base, and they have different usages and benefits. Eventually, you’ll need to collect specific herbs to progress and craft your gear. If you aren’t familiar with the various farm plants, this guide will show you how to increase your stock.

All V-Rising Plants and Seed Type

There are 12 types of herbs available in V-Rising, and they are used for a number of things, including Alchemy potions and other consumables. Most are abundant in the open world, but some are restricted to specific regions. Here are all the V-Rising Plants:

  • Blood Rose
  • Fire Blossom
  • Snow Flower
  • Mourning Lily
  • Hell’s Clarion Spores
  • Ghost Shroom
  • Sunflower
  • Cotton
  • Plague Brier
  • Sacred Grape
  • Trippy Shroom
  • Bleeding Heart

Unlike the rest of the plants, Plant fibre is quite abundant in the world and can be found in any grass, so you don’t have to worry about running out.

How to Get V-Rising Herb Seeds

There are three ways to obtain Seeds in V-Rising: buying them from merchants, harvesting herbs in the wild, and looting chests and mobs. We’ll dive further into depth down below. Buying them From Merchants

You can easily acquire Herb seeds by buying them from the various merchants in the game. However, you can only purchase a limited quantity, and they’re quite costly. You might be better off using other methods than wasting coins on buying these Seeds. However, if you plan on buying them, you need to farm money by killing mobs or minting them. Here is where and how you purchase Seeds from Merchants:

Shady Merchants Camp (Farbane Woods)

  • Blood Rose Seed
  • Fire Blossom Seed
  • Snow Flower Seed
  • Mourning Lily Seed
  • Hell’s Clarion Spores

Note: You use Copper Coins for Merchants in this region.

Dunley Farmers Market (Dunley Farmlands)

  • Fire Blossom Seed
  • Snow Flower Seed
  • Mourning Lily Seed
  • Cotton Seed
  • Sunflower Seed

Note: You use Silver Coins for Merchants in this region.

Silverlight Hills (Brighthaven Trader District)

  • Cotton Seed
  • Sacred Grape Seed
  • Ghost Shroom Seed
  • Plague Brier Seed
  • Sunflower Seed

Note: You use Goldsun Coins for Merchants in this region.

Harvesting Herbs in the Wild

The most common way of obtaining seeds is by farming Herbs you find in the wilderness. Aside from the plants themselves, you gain a chance to get seeds as part of the drops. However, these aren’t guaranteed loot, so you might have to farm multiple instances to get a bunch. Here is where you can find each Herb:

Farbane Woods

  • Blood Rose
  • Fire Blossom
  • Snow Flower
  • Mourning Lily (Forgotten Cemetery)
  • Hell’s Clarion Spores (Bandit Copper Mine)

Dunley Farmlands

  • Blood Rose
  • Mourning Lily (Dunley Monastery)
  • Hell’s Clarion Spores (Haunted Iron Mine)
  • Sunflower
  • Cotton

Hallowed Mountains

  • Blood Rose
  • Snow Flower

Cursed Forest

  • Ghost Shroom
  • Trippy Shroom

Gloomrot

  • Plague Brier

Ruins of Mortium

  • Bleeding Heart

Silverlight Hills

  • Blood Rose
  • Snow Flower
  • Sacred Grape

Looting Chests and Mobs

While this is the most unreliable method, looting chests can yield Seeds of various types. If you are lucky, killing mobs might also drop these items. However, you shouldn’t focus on this method if you are targeting farming certain kinds of seeds; instead, you should focus on buying or farming herbs. However, if you encounter chests, it’s best not to skip them, as they will always contain worthwhile drops.

Planting the Seeds

The best thing about V-Rising Herbs is that you don’t need to replant them after harvesting. Once you’ve planted a seed, it will automatically grow and regrow after you hack it. You also don’t need to do anything to maintain them. The only thing you need to do  is to plant and harvest them. We advise that you designate a specific area in your base as your Garden to make everything more efficient. Also, keeping all your Herbs in one place makes it easier to harvest and store them.

To start planting Seeds, you need to set plots, which can only be done on the  grassy areas of your territory. It’s best to construct large plots to use more Seeds and save more space. Once you’ve built them, put the Seeds on your hotkey bar so you can plant them.

We advise players to use as many Seeds as possible because these Herbs take 70 minutes to grow. It won’t be worthwhile if you only have a few patches of plants because they won’t yield enough. You won’t have to worry about replanting since they grow indefinitely and don’t need to be replaced.

Note: Seeds cannot be obtained from Herbs you plant indoors; you can only get them from the wild.

Tips

  • We advise players to focus on planting Cotton, Blood Rose, Sacred Grapes, Gloom Mushrooms, and Sunflowers. Cotton and Gloom Mushrooms are essential materials for crafting specific equipment. The other three are used to create critical consumables for recovery and resistance.
