Everything You Need to Know About Fortnite’s Day of Doom
As Fortnite continues their plans for Chapter 5 Season 4: Absolute Doom, they’ve released a limited time mode fit for the season. This new mode, called Day of Doom, will put you either to the side of Doom’s Henchmen or The Avengers. Whether you’re on the side of good or evil, the goal for this mode is to win by doing their respective objectives. Here’s everything you need to know about Fortnite’s Day of Doom.

How To Play Day of Doom
Day of Doom is a limited time game mode where up to 32 players will be divided into two teams. Players will be sorted into each team at random. For the base loadout, each team will have regenerating Health and Shield. Players will be immune to fall damage and have unlimited ammo. Each team will have different loadouts based on the side they’re on, and each will have a different goal to accomplish to win the game.
The Henchmen’s goal is to collect all six Arcane Artifacts that are scattered throughout the map. To acquire the Arcane Artifacts, the player will need to interact with it for 6 seconds. The Henchman to acquire the first Arcane Artifact will be granted the power of Doom’s Chosen and will have the same power as Doom with their new loadout. Each Henchmen will have a limited amount of respawns, 80 in total for the whole team. Once the Henchmen collect all six Arcane Artifacts, the Avengers will no longer have their unlimited respawn available. The Henchmen will have to eliminate every Avenger in order to win the game.
For the Avengers, they’ll need to prevent the other side from acquiring the 6 Arcane Artifacts and destroy all the Henchmen so they’ll lose their 80 respawns. The Avengers team will have 4 different loadouts and will be assigned a random one every time they respawn.
Day of Doom Loadouts
Each team in Day of Doom will have their respective loadout. The Henchmen only have one type, but for whoever becomes Doom’s Chosen, they’ll have a different loadout than the rest of the team. Meanwhile, the Avengers will have a variety of loadouts given to them at random every time they respawn. The loadouts available for the Avengers are based off Captain America, Iron Man, War Machine and Black Panther. Here are all the loadouts for both the Henchmen side and the Avengers side in Day of Doom.
Henchmen Loadout
Doom’s Henchmen Loadout
To combat the Avengers, the Henchmen are given superpowered weapons to defeat the superheroes. Each Henchmen will have Doom’s Arcane Gauntlets, and if they collect one of the Arcane Artifacts, they’ll gain upgrades such as the Monarch Pistol and Sovereign Shotgun.

Doom’s Chosen Loadout
The Doom’s Chosen Loadout is similar to that of the Henchmen’s, but they’ll also gain access to the Ultra Doom Armor, which will give them abilities such as Scorch Beam and Mystical Gigabomb.

Avengers Loadout
Captain America
Players in the Avengers team will have access to the Captain America loadout which includes his Shield and a Legendary Striker Burst Assault Rifle. Players can easily attack the Henchmen with this one.

Iron Man Loadout
If players get the Iron Man loadout, they’ll be able to fly around the map and hunt down Henchmen using Iron Man’s Flight Kit and use the Combat Kit to unleash the Unibeam while in the air. Players will also have access to a Legendary Stark Industries Energy Rifle.

War Machine Loadout
Players who gain access to the War Machine loadout will become a menace to the Henchmen on the battlefield. This loadout includes War Machine’s Arsenal, Auto Turret, and Hover Jets. If that isn’t enough fire power for the player, they’ll also have access to a Legendary Stark Industries Energy Rifle.

Black Panther Loadout
If players gain access to the Black Panther loadout, they’ll be given Shuri’s Black Panther Claws that can be supercharged and release kinetic energy for damage boost and unlimited Energy regeneration. With its superhuman speed, players will be able to hunt down the Henchmen or prevent them from reaching an Arcane Artifact.

If you want to take a break from the regular matches, Day of Doom is a fun limited time mode that’ll make you feel like an Avenger saving the universe or Doom’s Henchmen destroying it.
