Lethal Company doesn’t shy away from spawning several hostile creatures ready to rip players a new one. All the moons present crews with tons of dangerous beings and environments that gamers need more content to make. However, some entities have never created their appearance in the game yet, but they do exist in the game’s lore or coding. The Lasso Man is one of them and has become a famous unreleased monster. Will the devs ever introduce this enemy into the game? 

Who is the Lasso Man

The Lasso Man appears as a humanoid “stick figure” that seems to be made of a single coil of red rope or silk, which is where the “lasso” moniker came from. The entity is hidden within a game file that was never scrapped, which hints at its potential introduction later on. However, much is still unknown about the creature.

Lasso Man is an unfinished entity for Lethal Company with unknown capabilities. The monster does not appear in the game, and most of its designs are derived from other existing creatures. Its model is based on the Thumper AI, so it behaves similarly. The Lasso Man will charge at players at the same speed as the Thumper but with limited visibility. Players could easily escape from it by breaking the line of sight, and it would only investigate the last known area of the crew. However, since the Lasso Man is unfinished, it would only do something upon reaching a player if it has an attack function. 

The Lasso Man uses an altered version of the Snare Flea’s Bestiary Entry for its log file, which explains why it’s only rated at 30% of Sigurd’s Danger level. However, it could have been much more dangerous if it had been developed further. The clip depicting its appearance also features similarities with the Snare Flea. 

Will the Lasso Man Be Introduced Soon?

As of writing, we need clear information about the release of the Lasso Man in the game or if it will ever be released. The only hint we have of its potential inclusion is its undeleted game files hidden in the LC’s coding. However, devs have never explicitly stated that they would be introducing this monster at any point. So, we can only hope the game officially includes it in its roster of hostile entities. 

However, being a mod-friendly game, countless mods have been made to introduce a custom version of the Lasso Man. The most notable is the Brutal Company, which alters the game to make it even harder. The entity also receives several customizations in this mod to give it a unique interaction with players. 

In Brutal Company, the Lasso Man is more similar to the Ghost Girl and only haunts one person at a time. It also has no attack moves, but it will consistently cause paranoia in whoever it follows. Players can see blood when they encounter this creature or will start having distorted visions. While it doesn’t directly attack you, it does increase your chances of getting haunted by the Ghost Girl due to your heightened paranoia. In addition, getting followed by a Lasso Man makes it harder to move and escape when other entities are also chasing you. If you want to experience a new creature in the game, consider getting a mod like Brutal Company.
