Radiant Echoes — TWW Pre-Patch Event

Radiant Echoes
By | August 11th, 2024 | Categories: World of Warcraft

Azeroth is a land with a rich history. Tragedy after tragedy, the heroes of the world have saved Azeroth from destruction. We’ve glimpsed into a world ruled by the undead, fought off the dreaded Onyxia, defeated the Firelord, and left the comfort of our realm behind to free it from the grasp of demolition time and time again. Now, as the release of The War Within nears, we face these memories with freshly sharpened blades.

Until August 26th, players level 10 and up will be able to engage with Radiant Echoes and reap the rewards. But what is this event? Why should players fight off the waves of memories? Is this pre-patch event a hit or a miss? In this article, those questions will be answered.

What is TWW’s Pre-Patch Event?

The current pre-patch event, Radiant Echoes, is available to all players who have reached level 10. Players who have hit the current level cap (70) will get a quest to introduce them to this event prior to arriving in Dalaran, the hub. Players under level 70 will immediately be directed to Dalaran. Below are some basic facts about Radiant Echoes.

  • When is this event?
    • Until August 26th, 2024
  • Where is this event?
    • Dalaran (hub)
    • Searing Gorge
    • Dustwallow Marsh
    • Dragonblight
  • What currency is used for this event?
    • Residual Memories
  • How often is this event up?
    • Continuously, rotating between the three zones every hour

Remembrancer Amuul is found at the Chamber of the Guardian in Dalaran. Next to him, you’ll find portals to Searing Gorge, Dustwallow Marsh, and Dragonblight. There will be a glowing indicator to let you know which zone the event is currently in, or alternatively, you can just look at your map.

During stage one, there will be scattered memories across your map, indicated by colorful globe icons. Random events can be found at these locations. You’ll need to kill minibosses such as the infamous Hogger, wake up peons from their slumber, or gather items such as book or journal pages. Each event completed will give about 5% progress on the 100% progress meter. Once that progression bar is finished, stage two begins.

Stage two is when you’ll encounter a boss from Azeroth’s distant past. For the first 30 seconds, the boss will not be targetable. This is to allow players time to gather. In Searing Gorge, the boss is Remembered Firelord. In Dustwallow Marsh, you’ll face Remembered Onyxia. And lastly, in Dragonblight, players will battle the dreaded Remembered Lich King. There are daily warband quests associated with this stage.

  • Memory of a Duke, Searing Gorge (43.6, 67.2) offers Champion of the Waterlords
  • Forgotten Hero, Dustwallow Marsh (45.4, 57.6) offers Broken Masquerade
  • Echo of the Silver Hand, Dragonblight (59.6, 51.8) offers Only Darkness

While a zone is inactive, there will still be a way for players to grind for Residual Memories. Lingering Memories will be continuously spawning in the two inactive zones. While not as efficient as utilizing the active zones, this system does give an option for bored players who have already fully completed the current event.

What Rewards Come From Radiant Echoes?

Of course, no event in WoW is good without having solid rewards. To get the rewards for this event, players must have plenty of the currency, Residual Memories. This currency is earned through the following activities.

Hit or Miss?

After some bugs and health bars were worked out, players seem to approve of this event and the rewards. Some shame the event for being time consuming, while others appreciate a time sink as we wait for The War Within to drop. A few players have commented that the mounts and battle pets are recolors, but let’s be honest…they’re semitransparent, colorful, amazing recolors.

Overall, it’s a hit!

Concluding Thoughts

As we anxiously await the next expansion, Radiant Echoes is sure to keep us entertained. This event, which is continuously up until August 26th, has a plethora of rewards including alt gear, mounts, bags, and an heirloom ring. Until we meet again, Xal’atath!
