An FPS title doesn’t have to have realistic graphics just to be considered good. As long as it runs well and there are no frame drops, most players would probably enjoy it. BattleBit Remastered is one of those gems that has risen to the top of Steam’s “Top Sellers” chart. Despite being a low-poly title, it’s attracted a lot of fans from similar titles, such as Call of Duty: Warzone and the Battlefield games.

BattleBit Remastered has multiple classes for you to choose from, providing different advantages on its maps. Each of them has their own roles to fulfill. In this article, I’ll discuss what each class does in detail and which could be the best for your playstyle.

The Big Six

As I’ve said before, there are six classes that you can pick from in BattleBit Remastered, all of which have unique buffs and secondary items that help them perform class-exclusive tasks on the battlefield. The classes are as follows:

  • Squad Leader
  • Assault
  • Medic
  • Support
  • Engineer
  • Recon

Squad Leader

The Squad Leader is what makes the team efficient. Acting as the troop leader, this class is in charge of planning where to attack by using the ‘ping’ button while looking at an objective and leading a squad into battle. Needless to say, a lot of responsibility will be on your shoulders should you attempt to be the Squad Leader.

Regarding weapons, the Squad Leader is roughly on par with the Assault class’ access to weapons. Here are the weapons accessible to the Squad Leader:

  • Pistols
  • Assault Rifles
  • DMRs

Squad Leaders cannot access explosive weapons such as anti-helicopter or anti-tank launchers, but they can define respawn points and the Air Done. Oh, they also get a bonus bandage and grenade to support their squad as well. If you’re still a newbie at BattleBit Remastered, I highly advise that you try to get to grips with the other classes before choosing the Squad Leader class.

Assault

The Assault class are the frontline fighters of the game. Tasked with taking objectives, Assault offers quicker reloads, weapon swaps, and aiming, making it the perfect class for newcomers. By having improved weapon swap speeds, you can sustain firefights even if your primary weapon’s ammo has run out. You also have a sledgehammer that can knock walls down, opening new avenues for tactical combat.

This class is responsible for generating a lot of chaos on the battlefield. Mainly because they have many offensive gadgets to choose from in addition to the explosives, they can use to destroy buildings. Moreover, Assaults have access to a riot shield, enabling the class to charge recklessly.

Here are the weapons the Assault class can use:

  • Pistols
  • Assault Rifles

Assault is usually the default choice of most new players in BattleBit Remastered since it’s one of the best classes. It’s reliable, versatile, and it gets the job done of killing enemies. What more could you want?

Medic

The Medic is one of the most valuable classes since they’re the only class you can heal themselves and their teammates. By using their Medkit secondary gadget, Medics can actively replace lost health, while other classes can only use the inferior bandages to revive a member and heal themselves.

By having a large selection of weapons, the Medic class can keep themselves away from harm’s reach and even go on the offensive while trying to heal their squad members.

Here are the weapons the Medic can access:

  • Assault Rifles
  • SMGs
  • Pistols
  • Carbines
  • PDWs

Support

Known as the builder and ammo carrier of the team, the Support class is a crucial ally to have. This class can repair cover and give extra ammunition to friendless, making them great for pushing enemy lines. If you’re tired of just trying to be Bob the Builder, use your LMG carbines to take matters into your own hands.

The Support also wears the Exo armor, the heaviest armor in BattleBit Remastered. You might think this will make you a walking target because of how slow you are, but the armor soaks up a lot of damage. This lets you draw the enemy’s attention away from the other classes and enable them to restock on gadgets, magazines, and gear.

Here are the weapons the Support class can use:

  • Pistols
  • LMGs

Engineer

The Engineer is the class that has access to the most variety of secondary weapons. They can summon rocket launches that can make things go boom. Engineers also have a unique repair tool gadget to repair friendly vehicles. Considering how prevalent helicopters, tanks, and boats are, the Engineer is one class that stays relevant across all kinds of encounters.

Here’s what the Engineer can use:

  • SMGs
  • Assault Rifles
  • Pistols
  • Carbines
  • DMRs
  • PDWs

Recon

The Recon is the sniper of the classes. This class might become your favorite if you enjoy using long-range weapons to one-shot enemies. The Recon uses safe distances to lay down fire on enemies without them even knowing where you are. However, while their offensive capabilities are second to none, being limited to only three bandages and no helmet makes them highly vulnerable. Thankfully, you can use the Air Drone to locate targets and use a grappling hook to make a hasty escape whenever your position has been compromised.

The following weapons are accessible to the Recon:

  • Pistols
  • Sniper Rifles
  • DMRs
