Ubisoft revealed the impending arrival of a skin-trading marketplace in Rainbow Six Siege. Since then, the peer-to-peer store has opened up to a select few players as part of its closed beta phase, with some users already seeing the platform bear fruit. It uses the same operating model as Valve’s Counter-Strike marketplace, wherein the platform empowers users to trade, buy, and sell their cosmetics with other players. Some players are already dropping hundreds of dollars for the rarest items.

Some Listings Are Fake
Users have already started listing cosmetics and skins by the thousands on the Rainbow Six Siege marketplace. A good chunk of these are expected to be fake and set up by Ubisoft to test the platform’s functions. However, players are already gobsmacked by the legitimate transactions that are taking place. Some skins—like the Glacier set—are sold for over $100.
How to Use the Rainbow Six Siege Marketplace to Sell
If you’re one of the few select people able to access the marketplace, you can put your items for sale and purchase anything from the shop. Here’s how you can list items for selling on the Rainbow Six Siege marketplace.
Head to the Rainbow Six Siege Marketplace Page
Once you’re in, go to the default Tab and click Home. You can browse all the cosmetic tiers here, such as uniforms, weapon skins, operator portraits, and more.
Go to the Sell Tab
Select the sell tab and browse the items you want to sell in the marketplace.
Confirm the Items You Want to Sell
After selecting the items you want to sell, indicate the selling price. Note that Ubisoft will be taking a 10% fee per transaction.
Check Your Transactions to Stay Informed
You can check all your transactions under the My Transactions tab, both active and past purchases.

Could Rainbow Six Siege’s Marketplace Be As Successful As Counter-Strike’s Skins Market?
Despite Rainbow Six Siege not having much in the way of one-of-a-kind skins like Counter-Strike, it still has some rare cosmetics and sets that were available for a limited time. As it stands, the marketplace is a far cry from the multi-billion dollar skins market of Counter-Strike, which—to be fair—has been developing for more than a decade. Some unique items trade hands for hundreds of thousands of dollars. Some collectors even invest in these digital cosmetics in the same vein as one who buys stocks and shares. But should R6 not reach this peak, it doesn’t matter—the fans are nevertheless grateful for the opportunity to earn anything for their skins. They could never do it before, so it’s still a win.

There’s no date yet on when the R6 marketplace will go live globally, but for now, it can be accessed by anyone. You can log in to check what your skins are worth, but being able to trade might take a while.
