PoE 3.17 Preview and Release Date

As many of you may know, PoE 3.16 is coming to an end soon. Many players are wondering when Scourge 3.16 League ends? and When will the New Path of Exile 3.17 League start? Not to Fear! – I have it all covered in this article. I will give you all the information I have on the Brand New upcoming Path of Exile / PoE 3.17 League. Please do note that this information has been carefully sourced from the internet and that dates are always subject to change. So this is only a general pre-release assessment/

PoE 3.17 is going to be released across two dates as per usual for both PC and Mac and then five days later the new PoE 3.17 league will be released for the console; both Xbox and PlayStation. This includes PlayStation 4, as well as the PlayStation 5, along with Xbox consoles.

The release date of PoE 3.17 for both PC and Mac will be January 21st, 2022.

Followed by the release date of PoE 3.17 on console for both Xbox and PlayStation will be released on January 26th, 2022.

On that note, the end date of Scourge 3.16 league is scheduled to end on January 17th, 2022.

Other Important Information with dates related to the new League:

January 13th, 2022 – The Brand New PoE 3.17 / Path of Exile 3.17 expansion will be announced via a live stream over on the main and Official Path of Exile Twitch channel here.

The live stream will consist of brand new PoE 3.17 content reveals and will be followed by a Live Q&A with YouTuber ZiggyD and Producer / Developer Chris Wilson. New supporter packs will be revealed along with Path of Exile 3.17 Patch Notes.

January 16th, 2022 – The challenge rewards will be revealed and the JSON file for the Passive Skill Tree in Path of Exile should be revealed and released.

January 17th, 2022 – The Path of Exile 3.16 (PoE) Scourge 3.16 League comes to an end.

3.17 Private Leagues will then be available as well as Atlas Passive Trees too.

January 18th, 2022 – Item Filters, and Ascendancy Classes.

January 19th, 2022 – All new and changed gems at 20/20.

January 20th, 2022 – Launch Day Information and Possible Torrent Link and Extra character slots will be on Sale!

January 21st, 2022 – The release date of PoE 3.17 on PC and Mac.

January 22nd, 2022 – New Mystery Box will be revealed.

January 26th, 2022 – The release date of PoE 3.17 for Console; Both Xbox and PlayStation.

PoE 3.17 Future Plans

Here are some future plans for Path of Exile’s brand new 3.17 League Expansion.

They plan to Rework the Atlas Worlds – the expansion will be including a full rework of the Atlas of Worlds and Path of Exile’s end-game mechanics. GGG (Grinding Gear Games) are taking your player feedback into account while they are designing the new Atlas systems and end-game pinnacle boss encounters.

Prophecy Removal; (Prophecy / Prophecies will be removed)

Silver coins, itemized Prophecies, and Pale Council fragments are going to be deleted and removed from your inventory, as well as your stash the next time you log in after the launch of the new PoE 3.17.0 League Update.

Lilly Roth will be a new possible hideout NPC. She will possibly take over hideout divination card turn-ins from Navali and should also give you access to her gem shop.

Divination Cards that grant itemized prophecies will be redesigned in collaboration with the supporters who created them.

They will be Bringing back specific rewards from other prophecies such as (Monstrous Treasure) in many new ways.

Existing Items that grant Prophecy Rewards such as Delirium Orbs or Metamorph Samples will be updated to grant a different reward type.

Note: Be sure to use up your Silver Coins, Prophecies, and Pale Council fragments before the launch of 3.17.0 in early 2022 which as stated above is going to be 21st January 2022 for PC and Mac followed by the release of 3.17.0 for console on the 26th January 2022 for both Xbox and PlayStation.

Changes to Unique Items

Unique items previously exclusive to Prophecy chains of the Pale Council fight will be added to the core drop pool.

The following Fated Unique items will no longer be obtainable outside of trading with other players in permanent leagues: Corona Solaris, Crystal Vault, Deidbellow, Dreadsurge, Ezomyte Hold, Fox’s Fortune, Greedtrap, Hrimnor’s Dirge, Kaltensoul, Karui Charge, Martyr’s Crown, Mirebough, Sunspite, The Effigon, The Gryphon, The Oak, Voidheart, and Wall of Brambles.

The following Fated Unique items will be disabled but the base Unique Item will be modified to be identical or similar to the old Fated version. These are Winterweave, Thirst for Horrors, Cragfall, Geofri’s Legacy, The Iron Fortress, The Dancing Duo, and Timetwist.

Atziri’s Reflection will no longer be considered a Fated Unique item. It will be moved to be a rare drop from Uber Atziri. Atziri’s Mirror will no longer drop.

Fated Unique Items not mentioned above will have a chance to drop from any endgame map boss. This is a temporary measure – GGG intends to implement a more interesting way to obtain Fated Unique items alongside some new items in a future expansion.

I do believe that they will revamp the Player’s Passive Skill Tree in the new 3.17 PoE league update which should then bring New Passive Skills and more.

As well as that I believe they will add new Monsters and Items such as New Gems, New Weapon Items, New Off-Hand Items, New Armor Pieces, New Jewellery, and so forth. But this is just a guess for now.
