FFXIV Custom Deliveries Guide

There are a number of different aspects of FFXIV which have kept players coming back ever since launch. One such feature that we will be discussing surrounds the custom deliveries FFXIV has to offer. These are great for players for gathering rewards.

In this article, we will be outlining:

  • What are custom deliveries?
  • Who are the clients/what are their rewards?
  • Which client should you work for?

So let’s get started on looking into exactly what custom deliveries are.

What are Custom Deliveries FFXIV?

Custom Deliveries are a way for players to earn Gil in FFXIV, as well as either yellow and white Crafters’ Scrips or yellow and white Gatherer’s Scrips. The more deliveries that you do for a certain client, the more they will trust you after completing deliveries and building up their level of satisfaction. This will in turn give you additional opportunities with that particular client, which will reap even better rewards.

In order to do these deliveries, you will need level 60+ Disciple of the Hand or Land. You will also need to have completed the Go West, Craftsman quest. You’ll need to have Idyllshire and the Geimlona NPC unlocked as well. Once you have done so, you can speak to clients who are looking for someone to take on custom deliveries in the world of FFXIV. When this happens, they will outline the items that they require for that particular week. You can make up to 12 deliveries in a week. This is reset every Tuesday, and you can find where to deliver the items via the NPC icons on the map.

The Three Types of Delivery

There are three different categories for the items that you will be delivering. These include crafted items, gathered items, and fish. For crafted items, there will be a custom deliveries category added to your Crafting Log. There will be items that have been requested for delivery, and you can head to the Scrap Salvager in Idyllshire to buy the items that you need to make them. You can then find the recipes in the list of Custom Deliveries. Gathered items meanwhile will be in the Gathering Log and can be requested for delivery. As to be expected, Fish can be found in the Fishing Log, and their locations can be found in the Custom Deliveries list.

Finishing Your FFXIV Custom Deliveries

Once you have delivered the items that have been requested, you will then receive Gil plus the yellow Crafters’ or Gatherers’ Scrips, and you will also receive yellow and white Scrips once you are at level 80. Once you have completed a delivery, you will start to earn the trust of your respective client. Your aim is to fill the satisfaction gauge, which can be found at the top of the custom deliveries list. Filling the gauge will then increase the clients satisfaction levels, therefore reaping you more rewards.

Who are the Clients for FFXIV Custom Deliveries?

There are a few clients that you can choose from when doing custom deliveries.

One such client is M’naago. For this you will receive Gil, experience points, and the scrips that we discussed earlier. You will need to have the Disciple of the Hand or Land at level 60+ in order to deliver items for them too. M’naago deliveries can be unlocked through the None Forgotten, None Forsaken quest.

Then you have Kurenai custom deliveries, which are considered more favourable since it gives you the ability to glamour Kurenai and Grand Company squadron member outfits once you have reached maximum level of satisfaction. Kurenai can be unlocked through The Seaweed is Always Greener

Adkiragh is another option, though you will need to have a Disciple of Hand or Land level of 66+. Adkiragh can be unlocked through Between a Rock and the Hard Place

Then there’s Kai-Shirr, who can give you the ability to cast glamours once his satisfaction level is maxed out. Kai-Shirr is unlocked through Oh, Beehive Yourself.

You can also do custom deliveries for Zhloe Aliapoh, unlocked by Arms Wide Open.

New FFXIV 5.3 Custom Delivery – Ehll Tou Custom Deliveries

FFXIV patch 5.3 added another customer, Ehll Tou, for you to complete custom deliveries for. Ehll Tou custom deliveries in FFXIV 5.3 are unlocked by completing the If Songs Had Wings and Go West, Craftsman quests. She can be found in The Firmament. Crafting materials that you may need for Ehll Tou’s custom deliveries can be found at the vendor Annie, who is also in The Firmament at X14.2, Y12.6.

Which Client Should You Work For?

Ultimately, you should be looking at doing all of them. Though some may have slight advantages in rewards than others, there is no real need for you to prioritize one over the other if you are planning to do all of them. By doing all four, you stand to earn plentiful Gil, XP, and Scrips. So by maxing them all out you are going to receive the best possible rewards.

Whilst you may receive less from others, they are still worth your time investing in. For example, you could receive less materia from Zhloe, but you still get the same amount of XP and Scrips as you would from M’naago and Kurenai. There are differing levels of difficulty for each client as to be expected from what they are expecting you to find, so you could start off with either Zhloe or M’naago if you want to ease yourself into doing custom deliveries. Adkiragh offers higher scrips and XP than the others, so you may want to start with him if you are looking to get the highest return. At the end of the day it depends entirely on you on how you want to approach the practice of custom deliveries. Whichever order you choose, I would still strongly recommend maxing out each client if possible.

Custom deliveries in FFXIV are a great addition to the game. They give you the opportunity to build relationships with a variety of NPCs, whilst earning Gil, scrips and experience whilst you are doing so. With weekly resets, it also gives you a chance to get a fresh perspective of the game on a weekly basis. Which order you choose to approach the clients is in your hands. However, with similar rewards being given it isn’t too essential. It will also require some quest unlocks as you will have read already, so needless to say it will give you a lot of time to put into FFXIV should you choose to pick up custom deliveries.
