Skill and Item Requirements

The Waterfall Quest is an intermediate quest, and you will need certain skills and items in order to start it. It is a long quest, and though there are no quest requirements to start it, there are items and skills that you will need before trying to complete it.

Skill Requirements

Firstly, you will need to be able to withstand attacks from level 86 Fire Giants, as well as level 84 Moss Guardians without using any of your equipment. So, you will want to make sure that you are at a point where your evasion is up to scratch, and you are able to take hefty damage.

Check out our OSRS Combat Guide for tips on getting stronger.

Item Requirements

As for the items you’ll need, you will want to collect Air, Earth and Water Runes. You are going to require six of each, as well as a rope. We also recommend that you take plenty of food, and teleportation necklaces for your convenience. If you want to make sure that you are fully prepared, and you are a low-level player, you should make sure that you have these items in your possession. A Ring of Dueling or Amulet of Glory could also come in handy if you have them.

Waterfall Quest OSRS

This quest tasks you with investigating the deaths of former elven leaders. This will take you to the elf King Baxtorian‘s tomb, where you will learn the truth behind the hidden treasure found in the area of the waterfall. You will be taken on a journey for missing riches, as well as learning about Baxtorian along the way. There are many dangers ahead, with a lot of high powered enemies along the way. However, if you have followed the skill and item requirements you should be able to get through it even as a low-level player.

Starting the Waterfall Quest – OSRS

To start the quest, you will want to head over to the northeastern area of Baxtorian Falls, where you can speak to Almera. After you have done so, you can then board the raft. You will want to speak to Hudon, who is the son of Almera, who got lost searching for treasure under the Baxtorian Falls.

Finding the Book on Baxtorian

You will notice a rock to the south end of the island. Use your rope on the rock, then again on the dead tree, and get in the barrel. Inside the northern building, you will meet Hadley, who serves as a tourist guide for Lake Baxtorian, and will give you information on the area. From there, head upstairs to search for a Book on Baxtorian. This will give you a background on Baxtorian’s treasure, and why it was hidden away. Be sure to click on Read Book on Baxtorian and close the book afterwards.

Gaining Access to Glarial’s Tomb

From here, head over to the Tree Gnome Village maze and go inside the dungeon. Head to the right where you will find a crate, in which you will find a key. Then you will want to head back west to open the gate. You will find the imprisoned gnome Golrie here, who will give you Glarial’s Pebble for releasing him.

Next you will be heading to Glarial’s Tomb. Before you do so, be sure to bank any items you have, including the required runes, as you will not be granted access if your items aren’t considered “peaceful.” You can find the tomb to the northeast of the building where you found the book, and can then use the pebble from Golrie to enter the tomb. Head down the paths of the dungeon, and you will come across a chest with Glarial’s Amulet inside. Head back in the other direction to find Glarial’s Urn inside the coffin.

Completing the Waterfall Quest

Head back to where you stored your items, and pick up the required runes, your rope, plus Glarial’s items that you have just collected. You will also want to bring some food with you just in case. After doing so, return to Baxtorian Falls and get on the raft. Use your rope on the rock and the dead tree again, though this time avoid getting into the barrel. From here, equip Glarial’s Amulet enter go through the door. Once inside, head down the path to the right and search for a key in the crates. Once you have found it, head back to the left and find the door. Use the key, but beware of the fire giants in the area.

Inside, you will notice a number of pillars. Here, you are going to want to place a Water, Air, and Earth Rune on each of the pillars. Once you have done so, head over to the statue. Place Glarial’s Amulet on it, and find the chalice to place Glarial’s Urn in it. Be aware, if you click Take Treasure, you will be flushed out of the cave, so be careful not to do so.

Quest Rewards

For completing the Waterfall Quest, you will receive a number of rewards. Finishing it grants you one Quest point, as well as 13,750 Strength and Attack Experience, which proves very helpful if you are focusing on levelling these two particular skills.  You will also receive two diamonds, two gold bars, and 40 Mithril Seeds.

Conclusion

So there you have it, you have completed the Waterfall Quest in OSRS! The adventure is a long one, and can be difficult for low-level players,  even if there is no quest requirements before starting it. The best way forward is to stock up on the recommended items, as well as the items that you will require to actually complete it.
