Pocketpair just released a new patch for Palworld on PC and Xbox platforms. The update is for the Microsoft Store PC and Xbox version this time. In typical early access fashion, Palworld has some shortcomings that need to be ironed out to bring it up to par with what we expect from a 1.0 release.

Palworld has been making headlines since its launch, but you can’t deny it still needs a lot of work to make people stay. Compared to the Steam version, Palworld on Xbox suffers the most technical issues, such as more frequent crashes. Thankfully, developer Pocketpair has been quick to release multiple patches since the game’s launch.

Palworld Update: Xbox Players Can Expect A Smoother Experience

Pocketpear rolled out a brand-new update that Xbox players can download now. A post on Palworld’s official Twitter account confirms that the v0.1.1.2 update is live for the Microsoft PC and Xbox versions of the game. This also benefits the Game Pass releases, of course.

The patch notes are vague and brief—the only note being that it’s fixed “some issues which negatively affected the game’s stability.” This could refer to any number of problems that players on the platform have reported. Palworld on Xbox can run and chug along slowly, especially when a lot happens on the screen.

Palworld Patch Notes

With Palworld surpassing all expectations, Pocketpair has frequently improved the game over the last few days. The Version 0.1.1.2 update consists of the following:

  • Fixed issues that negatively affected the game’s stability.
  • More improvements concerning major game-breaking bugs are on the way.

One of the most infuriating bugs in Palworld is where Pals don’t attack or do anything else helpful whenever a raid occurs. While relaunching or quitting out of the game can sometimes fix the problem, it’s not an ideal solution since it can get extremely tedious. Pals can also refuse to attack, which could result in making some of Palworld’s boss fights unbeatable. Hopefully, we’ll see a fix for this sooner rather than later.

Other Palworld Updates Are On the Way

Palworld on the Xbox version still has a long way to go before it’s on the same quality as the Steam release. There are many differences between Palworld on Steam and Xbox, with most of the negatives being on the latter. Currently, Xbox’s version of Palworld lacks dedicated servers. What’s more, the total number of players you can have in any given world is capped at 4, as opposed to allowing 32 players on Steam to be in one room/server.

Other significant updates are on the way to Palworld as well. Pocketpair just revealed its content roadmap for 2024, promising PvP, raids, and more QoL improvements. So far, Palworld has been a massive success in terms of sales, and if they continue to update the game regularly, there’s no reason for it to lose its momentum in the future.

You can even say that Pocketpair should be commended for prioritizing these things and is already releasing a steady stream of patches concerning Palworld’s biggest issues. Granted, it could be a while before we see the game in a complete state, but at least we know that the developers are doing everything they can to give us more content and fixes.
