In this guide, we will be taking a look at the following:
- What are Heroic Adventures?
- When can you start them?
- Where can you find them?
- Are they worth doing?
- What bonuses/rewards can be earned by doing them?
To get started, we shall first take a look at what exactly EverQuest Heroic Adventures are.
What are Heroic Adventures in EverQuest?
The Heroic Adventures in EverQuest are a system of missions that focus on offering rewards that are based on the highest level player. They serve as a set of customized activities in which players have a number of options to decide what happens with each of the tasks. There are also multiple routes which you can take on every story that you come across.
These instanced adventures tend to take up to 45 minutes, and are designed for 2-3 players. Each step that you find will have a task that has multiple options. So you could perhaps have a step via the Bixie factory for example. This can then have three different ways in which it can play out, ranging from a standard workday, to theft, and even a worker strike. So needless to say, there is plenty of variety for you to look forward to.
The intention of the Heroic Adventures is not to continuously play through the same instances in order to farm NPCs. For this reason, NPCs will not respawn in the instance, so you can play through all the content that Heroic Adventures has to offer.
When Can You Start doing Heroic Adventures in EverQuest?
For the Heroic Adventures such as Call of the Forsaken, you will need to have reached level 75 or over. Meanwhile, the Darkened Sea Heroic Adventures can be accessed when you have reached level 95. Something that is worth keeping in mind when it comes to what level you are is the difficulty. This will also affect the rewards that you receive upon completion. Therefore, the rewards and difficulty will scale to the highest level player that is in the adventure at that time.
Where Can You Find Them?
Within EverQuest, you will come across open world zones in the adventures mentioned above and you will be able to find quest-givers that will send you on your way to Heroic Adventures. You will be able to spot them by seeing a label saying Heroic Adventures underneath their name. After you have spoken to that NPC and requested your Heroic Adventure, you will be sent out on a task that takes place within the zone that you are in.
Are Heroic Adventures Worth doing in EverQuest, and What Rewards Can be Earned?
This is a rather subjective question to ask, if not completely. There are a few reasons as to why you should consider doing the EverQuest Heroic Adventures. If you are into hunting rare mobs, then this is definitely a place in which you can do that. Inside Heroic Adventures, you will notice that there are mobs that have certain tasks and routes, so you are able to check them out beforehand and learn their methods so that you can keep an eye on a particular one.
They also offer you alternate currency, which you can get for completing both of the adventures. The Call of the Forsaken currency is known as Mark of Valor, whilst The Darkened Sea offers the Piece of Eight currency. You can also use these currencies to purchase mercenary gear, as well as Rank II spells and group level playing gear if you wish.
You can expect to earn XP from doing the adventures of course, but there are also bonus rewards that you can receive, which we will now be moving onto.
As well as having the opportunity to hunt rare mobs and gain some alternate currency to buy new gear, there is also a Daily Bonus experience available to you. This is given out by NPCs that will offer you a bonus daily task for you to complete. By doing so, you are able to net yourself some valuable experience.
As a whole, doing Heroic missions is a great place for you to earn experience. The daily missions themselves in areas such as the Dead Hills are great places for you to get huge XP bonuses. What’s more, it will give you the chance to get some additional currency, which you can then use to purchase upgrades for your gear. If you have experienced players along with you, then this can also be a great area from a timescale point of view as well. Should you have a group with a high enough damage output, you can clear Dead Hills Heroic Adventures in around 30 minutes, even less if you go in prepared.
So as you can probably tell by now, there is a lot of benefits to you checking out EverQuest Heroic Adventures. It would be fair to say that there are more pros than cons when approaching them too. Looking at the length of them, they aren’t necessarily going to take up too much of your time in order to complete them. Then there’s the offer of alternative currencies to help you further improve. And if garnering more experience is something that you want to focus on, then there is certainly the platform here for you to do that.
Overall, if you are looking to gain more XP, looking to hunt rare mobs, and enjoy a great part of the EverQuest experience, then you should look no further than the Heroic Adventures, that should keep you and your friends entertained for a while, also whilst you continue to grow stronger throughout your playthrough.
