Final Fantasy XVI is coming to PC, Yoshida announces

Final Fantasy XVI, the acclaimed PlayStation exclusive RPG, is coming to PC, Naoki Yoshida, the game director has confirmed.

In a video posted to X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, Yoshida confirmed the news, stating:

While Final Fantasy 16 launched as a PlayStation 5 exclusive, we are aware that many of you have been asking for a PC version. So, allow me to take this opportunity to officially announce that development on a PC version is currently underway. I hope to be able to give you more information on both the upcoming DLCC and the PC version before the end of the year, so please stay tuned.

The statement indicates that the PC port of FFXVI will not be coming before the end of 2023.

Yoshi-P also announced a free update for the game, which includes alternate costumes, a new weapon, and the ability to change the appearance of the main characters’ weapons as well as announcing two DLC for the game.
