On the rise of NBA 2K2, players should be ready to build their teams and take on other teams in the City, Pro-Am, and the Rec Center. Like previous 2K games, creating your first build of the year has always been challenging as you would try to make it near perfect before spending any real-life money you have earned so hard. To prevent you from spending your cash unnecessarily, we have collected the best builds and will show you how to spend the badge points with the latest badge tier system.

Best NBA 2K22 Builds

An average 2K game player usually makes around 5-7 builds, and it is the most challenging builder we have seen yet. The Next-Gen Builders will get all the attributes that will make you unstoppable in the City, but many animations, badges, and badge levels are tied with attributes. If you want Hall of Frame Limiteless Rangle, you would need to go higher than 97; doing so would require a lot of points which will result in sacrificing other attributes to other areas. Focus on two or three things you want to excel at and carve out a role between the 3v3 and 5v5 squads. We will show you the different builds by position to help cater to the kind of playstyle you are leaning toward as you dominate the City.

Remember that all badge spreads in this guide will have +4 badges added when completing the Welcome to The NBA Quest. To get a core Tier 3 badge, a player must spend at least 15 badge points.

Point Guard: 3PT Playmaker

A 3PT Playmaker will be the closest you get to a point guard who can shoot and move like Steph Curry. This build focuses on players that would like a smaller yet more agile point guard that can get those shots in when needed. There should be minimal problems as the build will unlock the best dribble animations, as the 3PT Playmaker will have a ball handle of 94 and a 92 speed with a ball. Getting the 3PT shots shouldn’t be an issue either, as the 92 3PT ratings will prove how capable he is on the court. The defense, however, will prove an issue but counter that with a 6’7″ wingspan, you can try to be an off-ball defender instead.

Physical Profile:

  • Height: 6’1″
  • Weight: 160 lbs
  • Wingspan: 6’7″
  • Body Shape: Personal Preference

Key Attributes:

  • 92 3pt Rating
  • 94 Ball Handle (the ability that unlocks all dribble animations)
  • 92 Speed with Ball
  • 86 Pass Accuracy
  • 80 Driving Dunk (an ability that unlocks quick drops off one dunk style)

Takeover:

  • Limitless Range
  • Pull-Up Precision

Second Point Guard: The Inside-Outside Scorer

The second and final type of point guard build we feature the Inside-Outside Scorer, a point forward build at 6’8″. The Inside-Out Scorer is among the most popular 2K builds, as seen with other players. It unlocks the gold posterizer, has limitless range, and has a 93-driving dunk and level 92 3pt ratings. Like the 3PT Playmaker, the Inside-Outside Scorer is the closest build to having an all-around player, but it will sacrifice defense. Having a 6’11” wingspan should be able to compensate for that.

Physical Profile:

  • Height: 6’8″
  • Weight: 180 lbs
  • Wingspan: 6’11″
  • Body Shape: Personal Preference

Key Attributes:

  • 93 Driving Dunk
  • 92 3pt Shot
  • 85 Ball Handle
  • 82 Vertical
  • 86 Pass Accuracy

Takeover:

  • Finishing Moves
  • Pull-up Precision

Shooting Guard Build: The 2-Way Inside-Out Scorer

A Shooting Guard builds for all the secondary scorers on NBA 2k. Every team needs a 1–2 punch combo, and this build punches harder than Mike Tyson. Go crazy with a 99-driving dunk that unlocks the hall of fame posterizer and all contact dunk animations, which is perfect for those with style. The scorer will have an 85 3pt rating to have the defense and open up the driving lanes to keep it balanced. Lastly, this build does not slouch when it comes to defense—featuring a 88 perimeter defense with an 89 steal with a 7’3″ wingspan—the perfect 2-guard to compliment any point guard.

Physical Profile:

  • Height: 6’8″
  • Weight: 210 lbs
  • Wingspan: 7’3″
  • Body Shape: Personal Preference

Key Attributes:

  • 99 Driving Dunk
  • 85 3pt Shot
  • 89 Steal
  • 88 Perimeter Defense
  • 83 Block

Takeover:

  • Finishing Moves
  • Spot-Up Precision

Small Forward or Wing Build

The name of the build is self-explanatory; the ultimate wing/3&D build is in NBA 2K23. It possibly has the attributes of guarding the perimeter and the attributes capable of guarding down low. This build can do the job with any defensive style you want to cover. A wing/3&D can serve its purpose as the floor spacer to help carry the flow of the offensive strategy. However, when the defense closes out too quickly, this build has an 86 driving to take everything at the rim. This particular build is one of our favorites here on NBA 2K23.

Physical Profile:

  • Height: 6’8″
  • Weight: 219 lbs
  • Wingspan: 7’6″
  • Body Shape: Personal Preference

Takeover:

  • Extreme Clamps
  • Spot-Up Precision

Key Attributes:

  • 99 Defensive Rebound
  • 91 Perimeter Defense
  • 90 Steal
  • 93 Block
  • 84 3pt Shot

Power Forward Build

A Power Forward build extends to the 3&D wing build but is more suited to guard bigger bodies on the down low and easily take rebounds. Our Power Forward can handle different game modes. The build also comes with the 82 3pt shot since all the builds must be capable of shooting as much as possible to maximize the spacing on the offense. Avoid operating on the down low, as the build isn’t suited when finishing near the rim.

Physical Profile:

  • Height: 6’9″
  • Weight: 239 lbs
  • Wingspan: 7’7″
  • Body Shape: Personal Preference

Takeover:

  • Spot-Up Precision
  • See The Future

Key Attributes:

  • 99 Offensive and Defensive Rebound
  • 90 Steal
  • 86 Perimeter Defense
  • 92 Vertical
  • 82 3pt Shot

Power Forward #2

The second Power Forward build in NBA 2K23 has an 81 ball handle at 6’10 and a 97 driving dunk. This build will create an exciting wrinkle for your offense, allowing the center to initiate their offensive strategies. The build does lack shooting capabilities but can excel in defense, finishing, and playmaking, much like Giannis in real-life.

Physical Profile:

  • Height: 6’10”
  • Weight: 228 lbs
  • Wingspan: 7’8″
  • Body Shape: Personal Preference

Takeover:

  • Finishing Moves
  • Finishing Moves

Key Attributes:

  • 97 Driving Dunk
  • 90 Standing Dunk
  • 81 Ball Handle
  • 92 Block
  • 90 Interior Defense

Center Build

The last build is for a Center player much more than the traditional big body Center. It is a defensive anchor that can function in either Pro-Am or Rec. Nothing can stand a chance against it, as it will get gobbled up by this defensive anchor, and your team will be able to get all of the drives to the paint. The build also gets a lot of big man contact to dunks, so that is easy points from dump-off passes. The build cannot shoot and cannot guard the perimeter either.

Physical Profile:

  • Height: 7’1″
  • Weight: 260 lbs
  • Wingspan: 7’11″
  • Body Shape: Personal Preference

Takeover:

  • See The Future
  • Paint Intimidation

Key Attributes:

  • 99 Offensive and Defensive Rebound
  • 90 Standing Dunk
  • 96 Strength
  • 95 Interior Defense
  • 94 Block

Conclusion

That is the end of the best builds we have accumulated on NBA 2K23. Playstyles are running from the offense to compliment the offense or switch it up and become a defensive stopper your team needs, and we have you covered. Remember, it is crucial to find your role and playstyle this year on NBA 2K23 and apply it to your squad to win and enjoy the game.
