RuneScape Expansion: Just in Time for the Menaphos
RuneScape has added some exciting and game-changing updates for 2017. Menaphos is a massive expansion for RuneScape. In fact, it will be out on June 5. Get hyped up!
A Decade for the Golden City
It’s been then years, and Menaphos is finally coming. First, there were walls in the mid-2000s, and ten years later, comes the city with some infrastructure. Menaphos has a cool Egyptian-style look, with pyramids, obelisks, towering idols, gardens, streams, and gold-trimmed buildings. Aside from the stunning architecture, Menaphos is similar to a real-life ancient capital in Egypt, which had a reputation for wealth and corruption. Regardless of the riches and disloyalty within the city, things are not always what they seem. The pharaoh is a puppet of Amascut, the devourer god, who’s cruel to the people. On the other hand, it’s up to the adventurers, including you, to stop the injustice.
The Secret Tomb in a Lively Place
Menaphos has a lot going on! There are four sections, each of them is as big as Port Sarim. The city has a pyramid and a rich library in the middle, evoking an ancient Egyptian capital atmosphere, in a new, central hub. Menaphos is the go-to place for players who want to explore a wide variety of fresh content. Most content focuses on skilling, with high-risk, high-reward.
The bread and butter of the content are the Tomb of Menaphos that can only be found within the city. Its location helps establish a sense of secrecy and conspiracy. The Tomb of Menaphos is a place where players can grow their agility and herblore skills significantly faster than other areas. It isn’t a grinding spot; instead, it’s more like a Pyramid Plunder that’s as big as a city. The tomb is fun and challenging, and its purpose is to gather the necessary resources within the time limit. Getting the resources individually doesn’t provide EXP; however, players who manage to complete the quota will get a chunk of EXP.
More Slaying and Questing
On the other hand, for those who want to see some blood and invest in their Slayer skills, there is the Menaphos Slayer Dungeon. Take on cats, beasts, and Amascut’s avatars, who want a piece of you. The Manaphos Slayer isn’t your typical dungeon. Instead of loots dropping for every kill, you’ll get them in a central chest. You can choose to get the items that you want the most in one shot. Also, Menaphos Slayer Dungeon is featuring unique mechanics that have never been applied in the game before.
Meanwhile, for RuneScape gamers who want to go questing or do some plot-relevant battling, there’s the Crondis Quest. The crocodilian goddess of earthly pleasures, she once brought food and drinks to the people, and she would take part in their festivities. However, after getting corrupted by Amascut, she now ignores the suffering of the citizens. Follow this quest line, uncover the mystery, and most importantly, reap the rewards.
With the Menaphos expansion being nothing like other expansions in the past, the hype around it is logical. Good thing all this excitement won’t be killing you for long. The update is on June 5. High five!
